"YOU DRINK LIKE A SLOB."

Basking in the excess heat of sunny Madrid, Wendy Son was too busy scowling at her male counterpart gulping audibly at an iced lemon drink. They were both sitting at an outside café, providing them with the warmth and ocassionally a cool breeze wafting past.

"You always need to critique what I do, don't you?" Unimpressed at her nit picking tendencies, Chanyeol placed the now empty cup onto the circular wooden table with a slight clang.

She finished the last of the kale smoothie she ordered. "It's fun."

"It's annoying."

"To you," Wendy smiled mischeviously before picking up her bag to leave the café. The pair arrived at Madrid a couple hours before — just past noon in the afternoon — leaving them to explore the city for the rest of the day.

Chanyeol immediately fell into step with her. "You said there's a spa here, right?"

"Yup. World renowned too. When my parents went to Europe they both couldn't stop gushing about it."

"Do we have to go to a spa?" He made a face thinking about the possibility of another guy massaging him. "Being half naked in front of strangers is not my forte."

Wendy winced. "Ouch, Chanyeol, your fragile masculinity is showing. Might wanna cover it up."

"I'll cover something up, alright. Myself! I'm not going to a spa."

"Fine, you don't have to go to a spa," she agreed in nonchalance whilst pushing her sunglasses of her head to cover her vulnerable eyes. The sun rays were beginning to sting. "I'll go on my own."

"But you might die!"

She inwardly grinned. "So? Maybe it's my time. It's fate."

"Fine, fine. You've convinced me," Chanyeol let out a sigh of defeat, his breath leaving his mouth raggedly as if it was his last ever breath.

It was still a mystery as to why Chanyeol acted like the world was going to destroy Wendy or something if she was left alone. She was independent practically her whole life! Well...not quite. Her parents still dropped her off at school, made her lunch. When they were off work in the afternoon, they'd greet Wendy with snacks and such after her day of school.

"I don't know why you're so protective of me. Remember in homeroom when that guy tried to hit on me and I kicked him where the sun doesn't shine!"

He chuckled as the memories of four years ago recollected in his mind. "Yeah. You really showed Jaebum who's boss. I recall him running out of the room sobbing profusely."
