Dear journal,
Today was the day! The day I came home! Early this morning, I had changed into my clothes for the first time in a long time. Nate and I walked hand in hand out of the hospital. "What's my surprise Nate?" I had asked again. " you'll find out soon!" he had smiled as we had driven up to my house. When I unlocked the door, a small brown bundle of fluff had hit my ankles. I had flinched in surprise but then bent down to pet the small, overexcited puppy. " awwww! you're so adorable aren't you! aren't you!" I had cooed at her. I then had stood up and gave Nate a sweet kiss. "Thank you. " I had whispered as I pulled away to pet the puppy again. "I think I'll call you Rose." I had told the little puppy decisively. Nate had smiled and told me, "that's a beautiful name, just like you." I had blushed and picked Rose up, cradling her like a baby, and gave him another quick kiss. A few pieces of my honey blonde hair fell out of my bun and I had brushed them away. I had gone to the couch, sat down with Nate next to me and Rose on my lap, and the three of us watched TV for ths rest of the day.
