I flew as fast as I could in my dragon form to Zeniba's house. I had to save Sen- no, Chihiro is her name. She saved me from Yubaba's control and Zeniba's curse. I would never forget her name, like I did my own. I had just landed at the front of the farmhouse when the door opened, reveling Chihiro. She ran towards my dragon form and hugged my head, saying "Haku! Haku, thank goodness! Your alive, how did it happen?" Just then, Zeniba came outside saying "Ah, that's love for you." Chihiro turned her head towards the old witch and said "Look Granny! Haku's alive!" Then Zeniba said to me "Haku, I will forgive you for stealing my seal, but in return, you must protect this girl."

That moment I swore to myself I would always look after Chihiro, when I could. Zeniba turned to the mini-bird and mouse and stated "Alright you two, it's time to go home. Come back soon." The two kissed her on the nose then flew to Chihiro's side. Zeniba then turned to No-Face, who had come outside, and said "No-Face, Why don't you stay with me? I could use a good helper." The masked spirit nodded his head. Chihiro ran to Zeniba and hugged her, exclaiming "Granny! Thank you so much! I'll miss you" to which the old woman replied "Don't worry, you'll be alright, Sen!"

Chihiro stepped away from the hug and said "I want you to know my real name. It's Chihiro!" "Chihiro, what a pretty name. You take care of it" said Zeniba. "I will!" came Chihiro's reply. Zeniba went to say farewell "Off you go now." Chihiro then said her's "Okay... Bye!" Chihiro ran towards me and hopped on, before shouting "Granny! Take care! Thanks for everything!" At that moment, I took off into the air.

We were high above the water on the way to the Bathhouse, when Chihiro said "Haku listen. I just remembered something from a long time ago, I think it may help you." She suddenly had my full attention. "Once when I was little, I dropped my shoe into a river. And when I tried to get it back I fell in. I thought I had drowned but the water carried me to shore. It finally came back to me. The river's name was, the Kohaku River." After a beat she shouted "I think that was you! And your real name is, Kohaku River!"

My dragon form shattered away as I remembered the past. Then I realized we were falling. I grabbed onto both her hands and said with my first real smile "You did it Chihiro! I remember, I was the spirit of the Kohaku River!" She smiled as she asked "A River Spirit?" "My name is the Kohaku River!" she started to leak tears from her eyes "They filled in that river. It's all apartments now!" "That must be why I can't find my way home Chihiro. I remember you falling into my river. And I remember you'r little pink shoe" I said closing my eyes.

Her head came closer to mine as she said "So, you were the one who carried me back into shallow water. You saved me! I knew you were good!" We stayed like that in silence for a few minutes. And just before we were about to hit the water, I let go of her left hand and flew us back into the sky. Side by side, we made it to the Bathhouse. When we arrived everyone was there and Yubaba was pacing in front of two rows of pigs.

She looked at us with an angry expression, while the mouse and bird duo flew towards her. "I see you failed to bring my baby back!" said the obnoxious witch, before the mouse turned into a giant baby wearing a red bib. "Mama!" the baby exclaimed as Yubaba tackled it in a hug saying "My Baby!! Are you traumatized? Did they do terrible things to you?" She checked him over, then noticed "Your standing all by yourself! When did that happen?" Before anyone could continue, I stepped forward. "Don't forget your promise! You must return Chihiro and her parents to the Human World."

The witch looked at me and said "Not so fast, Haku! I get to give Sen one final test." Everyone started shouting in protest, causing Yubaba to turn to them and yell "SHUT UP!!!!" The baby became angry and said "Stop it, Mama. Leave her alone." Yubaba gasped. The baby continued "Sen and I had a really good time." This caused Yubaba to catch her breath. "But a deal is a deal, sweetie! I have to give sen a final test!" The baby became more cross and said "If you make Sen cry, I won't like you anymore."

Yubaba looked out of it "But...." Then Chihiro called out "Hey Granny!" Yubaba snapped around and asked "What? Granny?" Chihiro walked forward and said "Your right! a deal's a deal." She walked up to the witch and said "Okay, I'm ready. I'll take your test." Yubaba brought out the scroll claiming "You got guts girly, I got your contract right here. Come this way." She turned towards the baby and said in a sweet voice "This will only take a minute." The witch and girl walked past the baby and Chihiro said "Don't worry."

Everyone watched in anticipation and worry as Yubaba led Chihiro to the pigs. "See if you can tell which of these pigs is your mother and father." said the old witch. "You get one try. if you get it right you can all go home." Chihiro looked at each and every pig before looking confused "Huh? There must be a mistake, none of these pigs are my mom or dad." Yubaba looked angry as she said "None of them! Is that really your answer?" after barely a second, Chihiro made a noise of conformation. The contract in Yubaba's hand vanished in a puff of smoke and everyone of the pigs turned back into girls and frogs. The former pigs exclaimed "Oh!!! You did it!" Everyone started cheering and said "Thank you everyone."

Yubaba looked miffed as she said "Alright! You win! Get out of my sight!" Chihiro turned to hey and bowed "Thanks Granny!" Everyone said goodbye as Chihiro ran towards me "Haku?" "Lets go" I said. "Where's mom and dad?" she asked, so I explained "When you passed the test, they woke up on the other side of the river. They'r there now, and they'r looking for you." We ran through the town and to the river. "There's no water here" she said when we got there "I can walk across now." I looked at her and said "But I can't go any farther. Just go back the way you came, you'll be fine. But you have to promise not to look back, not until you've passed the tunnel."

"But what about you?" She asked "What'll you do?" I smiled and replied "Don't worry, i'm going to have a Talk with Yubaba. I'll tell her i'm going to quit being her apprentice. I'm fine, I've got my name back." Chihiro looked sad and asked "will we meet again, sometime?" to which I said "I'm sure we will." "Promise?" she asked. "Promise!" I responded "Now go, and don't look back." I let go of her hand as she walked away, and I knew I wouldn't see her again for a long time. I stayed until she had completely left my vision, thinking "Until the next time, Chihiro."
