The meaning of "freedom"
Everyone has a different definition of freedom, according to vocabulary.com it is the condition of being free; the power to act to speak or think without externally imposed restraints. But is it true? Are we really free? In this day and age we are all bound by society. We are told what to do, what to think, what to be.
If this is so then what is the meaning of "freedom"?
To me, freedom is the right to chose your own path. It is when you can break through everything that holds you back even your self. It is when you stop caring about others and start caring about your self. It is when you stop hunting the possibilities and start letting them find you. Freedom is when even if you are not ready for something you learn to embrace it or when you find a way around it. when the fears go away and you face everything and rise.
To my father freedom is when he has a peace of mind to not be at war with his heart. To not have to worry about other things such as work, money, bills, taxes etc.
To my mother freedom is being able to watch as much television she wants and being able to go out and hang out with her friends
To my cousin freedom is when you are able to sleep as much as you want and are able to stay out all night without a worry and party to your heart's content.
To my brother freedom is being able to use his phone whenever he wants and not to go school.
To my sister freedom is to be able to not study and not get in trouble. Also, use her phone and contact her friend whenever she wants.
Freedom is the ability to feel, to let your emotions show to be happy and sad and not have to have a reason.
