Tick, tok, tick, tok........ If I could just sit tight for 15 more minutes. I have finished my homework during detention, but how will I be able to keep quiet for 15 more minutes?
Tick, tok, tick, tok, tick.......
"Hey, stupid clock could you go any faster?" Everyone stopped what they were doing and turned to look at the person who spoke out. I couldn't have kept quiet for at least one whole minute?
"Julia Maysings, may I have a word with you?" Mr. Greyer, the detention teacher for this week, called me over to the desk he's sitting at. Detention is different at our school. Every week we have a new detention teacher, and we have to go into the detention room on a wednesday if we have gotten on the detention list during class. "Mrs. Maysings grab all of your stuff and get out of this room. You know the rules well enough here, and you have to make it here next week again for speaking in detention. I'm also going to call your mother and let her know what is going on." Great now I have to miss soccer practice for this crap. I quickly grab my backpack and begin my journey home.

At the front door, I have a hard time deciding if I should deal with my punishment by walking into my house. Should I go inside the house and deal with my parents screaming at me? Deal with my parents taking away my phone and not allowing me to go to my friends house? I should probably go apologize to them for getting myself into more trouble. Then again, that will also cost me my freedom and phone. Pulling out my phone, I typed in one of my best friends number and waited until she picked up. "Hey Emily, it's me. I was wondering if you want to go to the mall with me?"
"Oh hey Julia, I was just about to ask you the same thing. I'll be waiting for you at my house. Bye bye." Right when I was about to walk away from the front door, my older brother, Jesse, opened it and grabbed my wrist, bringing me in the house. "Hey mom isn't home and your teacher called telling me that you got yourself into detention again. Where were you about run off to?" Leave it to an over protective brother to destroy the fun.
"I was just about go over Emily's, so we can go shopping together."I say trying to hide my face.
"Julia I know how you are. After you reach the front door, you stand there for about 5 minutes and run off with your friends because you get scared!Well guess what, I'm not letting you leave this house after your careless behavior." My brother is in college and still lives with us. My parents don't let us leave the house at age 18, but they let us leave once we get married. "Don't you have exams to be studying for anyways?" Jesse asks sending me to my room. Exams are in 3 weeks and I haven't even started on one study guide. The highest grade I have is one B. Everything else are ether C's or D's. But hey, I'm still passing, and I will still get credits for all of my classes.
I have to think of a way to get to Emily's house fast! I already told her that I'm coming over her place, and I'm too lazy to text her, so I don't have any other choice. Maybe I could casually walk out the front door when my brother is busy. Wait, if my brother sees me he would think I'm stupid for not coming up with a better plan, and would send me back to my room. I could go check to see if my brother is distracted and quietly run to the front door. "Julia your brilliant." I think to myself. I make my way to open the door slightly so I could squeeze my way through. The next thing happened so quickly when I almost trip, sending the door to hit the wall. "What do you think your doing?" Jesse angrily asked. "Umm I got hungry?" I say sounding unsure. "I knew it! Your trying to sneak out of the house and go out to have fun with Emily!"
"I never even said anything about Emily! All I said was I got hungry!"
"Well your a terrible lier, and everyone can tell when your lying." He barks at me.
