"Blue, get you're ass down here unless you don't want to eat." My dad snapped from downstairs.

I sighed and pulled my backpack on, first day as a senior. I could make it one more year in the shithole people call highschool.

My entire life had been lived at the Creek, never leaving it. My whole life was one long burning firedumspter and I couldn't take one more second of the intorable, shitty horrible excuse of li-

"Blue!" My dad yelled.

I heaved a sigh and climbed out of my window, trying everything in my power to nor have to deal with him.

My mom had died when I was 10. I had spent 7 years with my shitfaced dad who found his hobbies on making me feel like a total and absolute piece of trash.

I shoved my hands into my jean pockets and shuffled down the road, kicking rocks as I did.

"Hey! Blue? Right?" A girl asked as she walked jogged up to me from her bus.

"Uh, yeah." I replied, continuing to walk.

"I'm Katie. I'm in your photography class." She smiled.

I sighed and ran a hand through my raven black hair.

"Yes. I know who you are. Katie Chandler. You're a cheerleader." I replied.

"Uh, yeah. I just wanted to say your photos are so moving and beautiful. I find it great that a boy can find the beauty in life like you." She smiled. I stopped and sighed, turning to her.

"Listen, if you're talking to me because I'm lonely, I don't need your fucking charity, and also my photos aren't meant to show the beauty in life. They are realism so don't come to me trying to kiss my ass so I'll do your portfolio for you unless you actually know what the fuck my photography is." I sighed, flipping my curls out of my hair. They got in the way alot but I hated cutting them. They reached just above my blue eyes and looked like I had a fluffy cat on my head.

Her eyes grew wide.

"Fine. You gonna do my portfolio or not?"

"See you never, cheer bitch." I forced a smile and walked into the double doors of school.

First period was absolutely boring. Sitting through a whole math lesson fucking blows, so the whole class I doodled and of course when the bell rang I was first out the door, speeding to my photography class.

I spotted the girl from that morning and smirked at her before sitting down, actually enjoying one class in my life.

I sat through half the class of the teacher telling us about his summer before he actually started to talk about the lesson.

"The objective of this class this year is different. I am giving you the whole year to make a whole book of the beauty of the world. You have the entire class periods to edit the pictures and print and get the books togther. You have 146 days to do this assiment. I expect great things from it." He smiled, his blue eyes looking over his glasses.

The bell rang and I gathered my things.

"Blue. May I speak with you?" He asked.

Great. They are going to kick me out of this class already. First day back and I'm already fucking up.

I hesitantly walked to his desk and he smiled.

"I saw your photos last year and I know you don't have a camera and they were all taken on your cell phone, therefore.." he reached into a desk drawer and pulled out a Polaroid camera, a rainbow strap holding it.

I looked at him with wide eyes, unable to tell if he was joking.

"Take it." He smiled, holding it out.

I slowly grabbed it and smiled up at him.

"Thank you Mr.Krawl." I laughed slightly, pulling the strap over my neck.

"I expect great things of you this year, Blue."
