You were never worth forgetting (NaruHina sequel to "Don't mind me")

Hinata's P.O.V~

Two months ago, Naruto proposed to me. We decided that since we were engaged we would move in together.

We moved into an apartment last week, and we're still swimming in boxes. The apartment has two bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen and a dinning/living room.

I love it, I feel extremely grown up being engaged and having an apartment. While this is going on, I'm still making wedding arrangements.

I haven't gotten too far though, so far we only picked a date and picked out the invitations that we want to send.

We're getting married December 31st, the day before New Years. Nothing special happened on that date, we just decided that it sounded nice.

Currently I'm sitting at my dinning room table, flipping through a wedding dress magazine. I hear the door open and I quickly closed it up and picked up a regular magazine that just has some news in it.

Naruto's P.O.V~

I walked into our apartment and see Hinata sitting at the dinning room table reading a magazine.( hehe, OUR apartment)

I was wearing jeans and my Kohona tee shirt.

" Oh, hey Naruto. We have to leave soon. The Hokage wants all Shinobi on top of the Hokage tower."

"Um, sure. Do you know why?"

"No clue." That's weird. Usually she'll give us some clue what the meetings are about.

"Okay."

Me and Hinata both changed into our gear. We both became Jonin shortly after we got engaged so we were wearing our dark green vests with black undershirts and black pants a ninja shoes.

~~~~Time Skip to Hokage's Tower~~~

We made it to the top of the Hokage's Tower and now we are just waiting for the Hokage to come out and tell us wants going on.

"Hey, Naruto do you know what's going on?" Kiba whispered to me.

"No clue, why, do you?"

"Nope" well he wasn't much help.

The Hokage came out and everyone stood at attention.

" I know you're all wondering why I called you all here today." She didn't sound like there was an emergency or anything.

"Well, the reason I called you all here is to announce the new Hokage." Slight gasps were heard in the crowd of Shinobi, I was shocked too, but I kept quiet.

"That's right, I'm retiring. I've grown too old to maintain this job, so I will be naming the new Hokage and guiding them as work"

"The new Hokage is.... No other then Uzumaki Naruto!"

What?! I was hoping for my name to be called, but now that it has, I don't know what to do... I stood there shocked as people clapped and Hinata hugged me.

Lady Tsunade gestured me to come over towards her. She handed me a hat and a cloak. When I looked over the railing I saw the villagers clapping and cheering as well.

Seriously... What just happened?
