Previously On Under The Moon~
And here I am. A guy I don't know. About to kiss me. I didn't know what to do. It was like time froze just for my decision.
//Your P.O.V//
I took a deep breath as I decided, I wasn't going to. I giggled and pushed his face away trying to do it in a teasing manner.
I'm still baffled, as to what this guy is, and why he tried to kiss me? Especially because we just meet.
Thank goodness he took the light push away as a joke and laughed as well.
Although he was very handsome and did kinda save my life, I wasn't about to 'cheat' on Mark. No matter how much he's an ass and can be a really stupid guy.. it's almost like we're dating.
The mysterious man looked at me and I did the same. My gaze was all on him but my ears were under water. The gorgeous sound of thrashing of many waves. It was like being in a Theater with music all around my ears and all I could do was listen. For my ears were closed off to the world.
I soon turned my gaze away from him. My eyes were fixated on the sun. Soon, I found myself closing my eyes. Shutting away from the horrors of the world. As I did so, I let the yellow engulf my closed eyelids. The only feeling I could feel was the tiredness in my eyes. And the light hurt from my body. I felt like sleeping right there an then. I laid in the sand and let my body squish into it.
My emotions were all over. Who to trust and who to leave behind. Mark was a big concern of mine. Would he try to leave me? Could he just leave me? Would he have the balls to do such a thing?
Maybe this was just a big dream and I'm still asleep. There's no way all of this is happening. Im so confused about all of this. No. Yes?
I hear him next to me sigh and the sand squishing. I was to tired to move to see what he had done. Soon though I heard the leaves, crunch, crunch. I was to tired to think.
Until. I heard, nothing, at all.
//FEW HOURS LATER!//
I fluttered my eyes open to meet with a star. It twinkled and shined. Almost saying, it's not morning but good awakening sleepy head.
I yawned and streched feeling the still warm sand in between my fingertips. I sat up and dusted my back off lightly, getting any friendly sand that would like to tag along off.
I blinked a few times until my eyes set on the slow moving water. The water pretty still and it came onto the sand, off the sand and back on. Up and down. Splash and splash, splashing.
I breathed light and took my to feet. As I stood, I brushed some more sand off me and walked along the beach side. I'd find my camp soon enough.
As I trailed along I let the sand go in between my toes as I stepped. It was still warm, not as warm as when I feel asleep but, still warm. It was as if you'd put your hands over you mouth in the winter, to warm them up with your breath. It was warm, but only for a few seconds.
My mind wandered in and out. Thought to thought. Breath to breath. Wave to wave.
The only thing breaking me from sleeping still was my over racing mind. It was like a wild animal pent up in a small cage. Feels to awful and uncomfortable. The thing is, the only thing that kept those to facts separate, is you can let the animal out. You can't let your thoughts out. You can't let your mind wander to far, go to fast, become to controlling.
You had to stand the aching feeling of your mind always preoccupied.
Suddenly I stopped. My eyes landed on a path that leaded upwards and I realized I was back to camp. A sigh of relief broke from my mouth, as I stepped out of the sand and onto the concrete pathway leading into camp grounds.
My feet, step and step and step. Then, before I knew it, there was our tents. All of them. But before I could go into my tent, I stopped dead in my tracks. There standing and awaiting my return, was Mark. His dark figure just barely breaking through the dark brush hanging over his sleeping body. He was on the park table, snoozing away.
I smiled and knew I'd get away with getting into my tent. I crept up to my tent and began to pull the zipper down. As I did I pulled the flap down and quickly got in. After I closed it up like before and crawled into my spot. I grabbed the pillow buddy and snuggled him as my eyes became heavy.
I was going to sleep again.
(I know this one was a little shorter than most but, I've been really letting go of a lot my Mark and Ethan x Readers and stuff and I apologise.
