"Honey, come downstairs. New school, first day. You need a good breakfast." My mom said from downstairs. I groaned and threw the blanket over my face. Like everyday. "Sara! Come on."

"Ugh, coming mom." I got out of bed and walked like a zombie would, down the stairs.

"Are you excited?" My mom asked with a smile as she set down a bowl of fruit on the table. I fell into my seat where the bowl was sitting. "No."

"Why not?"

"Because I don't want to go. I don't like new schools. I don't like first days. I don't like school in general." I say, as I eat a strawberry. "Aww, honey. You'll be fine. You will make so many friends." My mom says, as if that would help. She tried.

"Whatever, mom." I say as I finish up my fruit, silently. After I'm done, I run upstairs. I would need the perfect outfit. Perfect hair. Perfect makeup. Perfect everything. I look in my closet. I have a whole row of uniforms that I was forced to wear. To bad for perfect clothes.

I take out my uniform. It's a white shirt with a blue jacket over it. It has a yellow tie. Also, a plaid skirt. So, I put it on and look over myself in the mirror. It looked okay.

Now for perfect hair. I run to my bathroom. I brush my long, straight, light brown hair. I put it in a perfect high pony. Then I applied hairspray so it would stay. Perfect.

Perfect makeup. I take out my makeup set and set it all in a nice row, as if giving me steps how to put it all on in order. I take out the concealer and evenly, and smoothly, rub it on my face. Then I apply a rose coloured blush. It looked like I was blushing, but I wasn't. Now the eyeshadow. I first apply a dark red. Then a light pink to even it out. I shuffle around the bag to finally find my mascara. When I did, I applied it, blinking with each delicate touch. Then eyeliner. I carefully went along the top of my eye, then making a wing at the end. It looked awesome. Fierce. Just as I wanted.

Then, everything was ready. That was when I realized I hadn't checked my phone yet. My friends from back in Indiana told me to show them my outfit on the first day. I run back into my room and snatch my phone off the charger. I find notifications from Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. Then, I finally find text messages. My friend, Elena, had texted me multiple times.

{Text messages}

Elena: Hey, Sara.

Elena: What're you wearing.

Elena: Sara, it's been an hour.

Elena: Are you okay???

Me: Omg Elly, I'm so sorry. I was so busy perfecting my first day look.

But then she doesn't answer.

"Sara, your gonna be late." I hear my mom say. So I turn off my phone. Not completely. Then, I take my backpack and shove my phone in it. Right before I leave, I grab a jacket, just in case.

I run downstairs, and over to my mom. "Bye mom!!" I say as I hug her. "Honey, go! Your gonna miss the bus!!"

I run out the door and to my bus stop. I'm so lucky the bus stop is so close. Just down the street. I get there and stand there for a while. Then the bus got there. I was on first. I make my way to the back of the bus to find an empty seat. Yes.
