I'm not sure why I'd have to spend a whole bus ride, and my first period, with a boy that I just met, but already hate. Bad luck strikes just like last year. Hopefully it doesn't happen all over.
Last year:
"This could've been easier."
"But I don't like you." I say as Seth started walking towards me.
I hear something drop to the side, then I hit a wall. Then, I saw smoke. After that, I was out. I fell off the wall, onto the ground. Seth had pushed me and now I was passed out. He dragged me up, by the arms, and into the janitors closet. It was about an hour later when I woke up.
"Wh-what happened?!"
"Oh, your fine. How do you feel, honey?"
"Oh my- Seth!! What're you doing here?"
Then I heard banging and screaming.
Back to present:
I walked to my first period class, speeding up every time Hunter tried running up to me. "Could you stop, Hunter?"
"Stop what??"
"Running up to me. Don't act stupid."
"We're almost there. Can I at least walk next to you?" I hesitate for a moment, until stopping short in my tracks so he could catch up. "Awe your sweet."
"Don't get used to it." I snapped. We were almost there when a group of boys with bandanas on their heads and camouflage clothes came walking towards us. They all shook Hunters hand, one by one.
"Hey bro! Long time, no see! This your girl?" He said, narrowing his eyes towards me.
"Nah, but I wish. She don't want me."
"Awe, you could get her. Anyone."
"I'll try, man."
"Just do it. Like Nike. See you at lunch, bro!"
"Bye, man. See you later." He said, then facing me. "That's Erik, he's a cool guy. Right?"
"Yea, uh, sure." I say as I run off. Just because it got awkward. I ran to science and made it just before I was late. Looks like Poor Hunter is gonna be late.
"Okay class, everyone stand at the back of the room, so I can make a seating chart." He says as we all walk to the back of the room. "Looks like the only student were missing is... Hunter." But just as he said that, he walked in. "You are...?"
"Hunter."
"Awesome! We have the whole class. Now to make the seating chart. Who prefers to sit in the front?" I don't raise my hand because I'd rather sit in the back. ''Okay, hmm... Mary, come sit right here." He says, pointing to the seat closest to the wall. Mary does as directed.
"Sam, over here. Anna, here. Manuel, here. And for the other side. Lina, here. Mathew, here. Aria, here. And, Aaron, here.'' And as he points to the seats in order, he says, "So the order from left to right should be: Mary, Sam, Anna, and Manuel in one row and in the other row, Lina, Mathew, Aria, and Aaron. Get in those seats." I got a little irritated because that gives me a larger chance of sitting with Hunter, which was disappointing, yet irritating.
