CH 1 Origins

( Third p.o.v )

Everything happened so fast. Percy realized he wasn't going to be the hero here. He handed Luke the dagger watching as he took his own life to save his family. Luke felt his soul split from Kronos as his soul went to the Underworld. He was quickly escorted to be judged, he thought he was going to the fields of punishment. Before they judged him they showed him what was going on up top.

He saw Percy and many others on Olympus. The gods were giving the heroes gifts. He grinned when they offered Percy godhood. His jaw dropped as he denied the offer. He saw as Zeus got mad at the rejection and even more so as he asked for two wishes. Luke was incredibly happy with the wishes he made but even more so as Percy declared Luke the hero of this war. They cut the scene to look at the young hero, he cried when they said Elysium.

As soon as he steps into Elysium he was greeted by his old friends Charles and Selena. He was introduced to Bianca and Zoe was a bit unsure of meeting Luke again. They became fast friends as they all watched over Percy.

One day the youngest hunter disappeared and was nowhere to be found. The next week went the oldest of the group Zoe who went missing. Then finally the couple disappeared so Luke went to search for his missing friends.
Then one night Luke was captured by an unknown figure taken out paradise.

( Luke's p.o.v)

I panicked as I struggled to get my hands free. I need to get this bag off my head I thought. Grunting I busted the rope around my hands taking off the bag. My jaw dropped as no other than Zeus stood in front of me. "What are you doing Zeus. Where are my friends." He chuckled at me, "There where all of you belong, in hell." I realized now we were at the pits entrance. "Why we've all been declared heroes." He frowned,"There's no way I'd let traitors, a titans daughter, and the daughter of my brother stay in a place like that. Beside heroes never have a happy ending." A tear fell as he pushed me into the pit.

Falling took awhile not as long as I thought. Looking at the floor quickly approaching I thought at least I'm dead and it won't hurt much. I was right it felt like I never even landed on the floor. Once I stood up three blinding lights flashed in front of me. When it dyed three beautiful ladies stood in front of me. "Hello there, young hero we are the Fates. This is our true form. We have an offering for you."

I bowed to them,"What is it, my Ladies?" They smiled letting me rise. "We have a deal for you. Will bring you back to life just like your friends. But there is a price." I looked at them in surprise,"My friends you say. They took this deal." They nodded at me as one walked up to me,"Yes we told them someday Percy would join and lead y'all for a greater purpose." I got excited at the mention of getting to right things with Percy. "What's the downside?"  "You'd have to become what mortals call a deadly sin. You'd control your own fate but would work for us. You would also be stronger than the gods in time." I thought about it and without a second thought agreed. They hit me with a bright red light,"Goodbye hero." They flashed out as the sin merged with my soul. It was quite painful at first but soon faded away. I felt a really strong burst of raw energy as it tried consuming me. I ran trying to figure out how to control it or fight it somehow.

I ran what seemed like hours coming to a stop I felt other things closing in on me. Oh no, not now I can't fight these monsters.  I was on my hands and knees as the monsters circled me grinning with wide smiles. I tried standing but fighting the raw power has taken a lot out of me. A cyclops came to me his club raised high ready to kill me. I shut my eyes thinking great this sucks.

Silence is all I heard as I waited. What's taking so long I thought. Opening my eyes to look up I saw nothing but monster dust. I looked around in confusion. "Did you miss me, Luke?" I quickly turned around to face," Ethan...Is that you?" He smiled at me," Yes, but call me Gluttony for now. Let's go I'll take you to your friends."

I just stared at him the entire time we walked. He didn't say much either but he would turn back and smile at me every so often. Then out of the blue, he spoke,"Luke there's no hard feeling right. We both did what we thought was right." "Yes, Gluttony we did. Listen to how long have you been down here?" "After the blonde Annabeth took that hit for Percy. I got killed in action after I told you and Kronos about Percy's weak spot." After five more minutes, we came up to a run-down house.

"Guys you're all here!" I shouted. Everyone turned to look at me they all had smiles on their faces. They got up to give me hugs. "What are we going to do guys I can barely control this power?" "Isn't it obvious Luke. Ethan here is gonna train us. He's been here longer than us," said Zoe. "Your English is modern now." She rolled her eyes, "Yes the Fates changed it for me." I just nodded turning to Gluttony. "Now what do we do." He smiled at me let's being training, "We need to fix up this house. Charles can use his skills for the blueprint only." "Hows that gonna help us?" asked Bianca. "You need strength to control your power so that's what we're going to build up. I'm going to show Charles how to use his powers on you. So you're going to feel weak and lazy building this house." "Alright you're on," I smiled.
