Chapter 1

El knocked on the door of the Wheeler household. Karen opened the door. "Hello El!" Karen exclaimed, wrapping her in a hug. "Hi." She smiled. "The boys are in the basement. Mike is too." Karen winked. Karen knew that Mike and El were dating for a while  She got it out of Will by offering him a piece of cherry pie. "Ok, thank you." Eleven said, heading down the stairs. "Hi, El!" All of the boys unanimously said. "Hello," She said, taking a seat next to Mike. "How are you guys doing?" "We're fine." Dustin said, "No, we're not. Will forgot to bring me a comic book." Lucas said, playfully hitting Will on the arm. "I'm sorry." Will said for the thousandth time. "Why does he owe you a comic book?" El questioned. "We had a bet last night." Lucas said. "What was the bet about?" El asked. "Whoever threw a rock the farthest in a pond would win a comic book." "Oh." She said. "Anyways, moving on to a more important subject, did you guys study for the test in Mr Clarke's class?" Dustin said. "Nope." "Nope." "Nope." "Nope." "Nope." "Sometimes Mr Clarke's class is bullshit. Who would study for a test on a weekend?" Mike yelled. "Teachers pets." Will muttered. "Hey guys!!" Karen yelled, running down the stairs. "I brought snacks!!!!!" She said, showcasing a bunch of eggos. "Mom!" Mike screamed. "What? I can't bring snacks for my son and his friends?" "Yeah, you can, but you can't embarrass me!!" "I don't try to, it's just I love you so so so so much!" Karen yelled as Mike pushed her up the stairs. "I'm sorry, guys." Mike said, out of breath. "It's fine." El & Will said. "Mike, we gotta go." Lucas said. "Ok," Mike said. "I'll see you guys tomorrow." "Oh, and Mike," Dustin said. "Yeah?" "We just want to let you know that we love you so so so so so so much!!" Dustin & Lucas both yelled, mocking Karen. "Get out, douchebags." Mike said, flipping them off. "I should go ahead and go too," Will said, winking at Mike. "Have fun, you two. "N-no!" Mike yelled, but Will kept going. Mike returned to his spot on the couch by El. "So, what do you want to do?" He asked her. She didn't know what to say, she got caught in his eyes. It was like a trance. After a moment of staring, Mike reached out and kissed El. He never got tired of that feeling. He knew he was young, but he knew 100% that he was in love with El.
