Poem 3, Behind the Glass

Crying out but nobody hears me,
Behind the glass where nobody can see.
They look my way but all they can see is their reflection,
How can i get their attention?
Stuck behind this glass of nothing,
Hopeing that someday it will be something.
But all i can do is wait,
And hope and pray it's not to late,
Before they start forgetting my name.
All i have left are my tears,
And years and years of bottled up fears.
I wanna be heard, i wanna be seen,
Behind this broken screen.
I could scream but they'd never hear me...
I watch as people talk, i watch them as they laugh,
It's simple just do the math.
They're out there,
I'm in here,
It's not fair,
They have nothing to fear.
Talk to me please,
I want you to hear me.
I'd pay my fees if you could just see.
Im so empty inside,
Look at you with all your pride,
You think I'm empty? Look at all the emptiness you hide.
But how is that so?
How could you be so low?
Even with all those people out there, you're still alone.
How can you be so selfish,
When my life behind this glass is hellish?
No one sees me,
Do you know how that feels?
I just wanna be free,
I'm breaking at the seals.
Slowly... So slowly, I'm finding ways to break this glass,
Waiting for this time to pass.
I think its finally cracking,
Maybe soon I'll finally feel the love I've been lacking.
But I've been in here so long,
Maybe I can learn to be strong.
Finallt, the glass shatters to the ground,
Now i don't know where to start.
Everyone looks my way,
I don't know what to say.
Then everyone smiles at me...
They can finally see.
And I fall apart in years,
I can finally let go of all my fears.
They even remember my name,
From here on, ill never be the same.
