Chapter 35

Today is the day. This day 19 years ago I was born! I opened my eyes and smiled to myself. Happy birthday to me! Happy birthday to me! Happy birthday dear me...Happy birthday to me! 

I sat up in the bed and looked around the room. There was a tray sitting on the nightstand that had a tray with eggs, pancakes, bacon, and orange juice. There was also an orchid standing in a vase with a note connected to it. It read: Happy birthday mo ghra. I would have loved to be there when you woke up but I had to be into work early. Enjoy the breakfast and I will see you soon. I love you. -Danny

Aww that was sweet. He made me breakfast in bed just because its my birthday. I got out of the bed and went to the shower, but instead I found a warm bath and another note sitting next to it. It read: Baby girl, I didnt leave too long ago so the water should still be warm. I want you to be relaxed and pampered today. I love you. -Danny

Once again, Danny is just too sweet. I took the bath and dried off and went to put on my clothes. I walked into my closet just to find a pretty sweater dress and another note. It read: Babe, I got Jess to help me find this dress. I want you to look absolutley beautiful on this special day, even though you already are naturally beautiful. -Danny 

I looked at the dress and saw it was gray. It was about mid thigh and it had three quaters sleeves. I slipped it on and put some black tights on under it because it was still a little nippy outside. I opened my door and got in my car and drove to school. I didnt see anybody I recognized, so I walked inside and went to my locker. I saw green paper all over my locker and on it, there was a picture of me, Hazel, Jess, Kane, Danny, Lydia, Brandon, Lainey, and Mason all smiling at Lydia's house during Christmas. Sure it was a little questionable to have a picture with Danny in it but it was all of us and we have already clarified that Danny is a 'family friend.' I opened my locker and saw a big bear that had a card connected to it. There were also balloons that had Happy Birthday writtin in big letters on them. 

"THERE IS MY PREGNANT LITTLE BIRTHDAY GIRL!" I turned and saw Kane running down the hallway with Jess and Hazel trailing behiind. "Hey sis, I got out of college just for you. Happy birthday!" Kane hugged me and kissed my cheek. Then Jess came and hugged me as tightly as she could without hurting me, considering my back was still a little messed up. Not alot though, its been a week of nothing but taking it easy, so it has basically healed.

"Hey Ricki! Happy birthday! I have your gift for you!" I smiled at Jess. 

"You know you didnt have to get me a gift, right?" She gave me a are-you-kidding look.

"Of ocurse I did, Dummy. Its your birthday. Duh." I laughed and turned to Hazel. She smiled and hugged me too.

"Happy birthday, hun! I have your gift too." I sighed dramatically which caused her to laugh. I grabbed the card that was connected to the bear and opened the envelope. The card was a custom made card of me making an 'O' shape with me mouth and blushing while Danny kissed my cheek. I opened the card and it read:

'I have a heart and that is true, but now it has gone from to you.'

'So take care it of it just like I do.'

'Because now I have no heart and you have two.'

I smiled at Danny's little poem. That is just too sweet. I put the card back in the envelope so that nobody could see the picture and placed it in my bookbag. I looked back at Jess, Hazel, and Kane who had been looking over my shoulder. "Wow, ever since meeting you, Danny has turned into a complete teddy bear." Kane said smirking.

"And so have you! You are my little care bear and Danny is my comfy best friend bear." We all started laughing and after laughing Kane started pouting.
