Chapter 1

Lucius walked down the hall of the school before the day started. The boy stayed near the wall, not wanting to be seen by many people

Lucas walked up to the school looking around before he entered the building and headed towards the office to pick up his schedule. He then walked out and started to wander down the halls of the school

Lucius turned a corner, only to be grabbed by his shirt and thrown to the ground.

"Where are you going boy?" The voice caused Lucius to snap his head to look at the male standing near him.

There were two other boys standing next to Will, one of Lucius' many bullies, grinning.
"I-I'm just going to class" Lucius started to stand up but was kicked back to the ground.

Lucas turned the corner to see three students standing over someone and kicking them across the hall. He moved so his back behind the wall and he was poking his head out watching what was going on.

"You're not going anywhere." Will kicked Lucius, who curled up, trying to protect himself.

Will grabbed Lucius by his jacket and dragged him to his feet. He elbowed the boy in the ribs and pushed him into the wall

Lucas narrowed his eyes at the three bullies and stepped out and into the hallway as he walked up to them "Hey!"

Will was about to punch Lucius but one of the others grabbed his arm as he heard the male behind him. Lector, the leader of the small group, laughed as he hung his head, "Mind your own business new kid, this is not the type of thing for you to get into. Unless, hey, you wanna join"

"Oh, I'll join alright." Lucas said as he then punched one of the bullies, Lector.

Lector held his nose, "Ow" he looked at his hand, which had blood on it, and glared at Lucas. He then punched Lucas

Lucas fell back after being punched. He sat up, holding his nose as he glared up at them and kicked Will in the leg

Will threw Lucius onto the ground and turned to Lucas and began to kicked the boy repeatedly

Lucas covered his head to protect himself in whatever way he could as he was being kicked

Lucius quickly stumbled to get up and ran down the hall.

The third bully was about to go after him but lector spoke up, "Let him be. We've got this nosy one"

Will kicked Lucas one last time with a large amount of force before dragging him to his feet and punching him

The finial kick caused Lucas to cough up some blood. He squirmed in Will's grasp, trying to escape

"What are you guys doing??? Let him go!" the three boys looked over at the principal, who Lucius was standing next to him.

"Fine. Will, let him go." Lector commanded and Will threw Lucas onto the ground and the three walked away.

Lucas groaned at the pain and wiped the blood off of him. He slowly got up and faced the two, "thanks."

The principal walked up to Lucas, "Do you need to go to the nurse?" He asked and Lucius stayed in his spot, watching.

He looked up at the Principal "I'm fine..." He said, lying a bit.

"Alright, you can head there if you want to" he walked away.

Lucas looked over at Lucius "are you ok?"

Lucius slowly nodded, "You didn't have to get involved.." he picked his backpack up off the ground and turned to walk away.

Lucas picked up his backpack off the ground as well and ran up to the boys side "Well, I couldn't have just stood there and do nothing."

"Its been happening for years and no one's done anything. It wouldn't have made a difference if you just kept on your way."

Lucas looked at him with a concerned expression "and no one's done anything about it?" He asked and Lucius shook his head, "Mind me asking why you get bullied?"

Lucius looked down at his feet as he stayed quiet and continued to walk down the hall

"it's okay if you don't want to."

"I don't want you to think badly of me..."

"why would I?"

"Reasons..."

Lucas nodded his head and looked around, continuing to walk with him

Lucius sighed, "I-....I'm gay..." Lucius admitted and Lucas stared at him, surprised. The silence caused Lucius to become worried at this reaction, scared about what he thought. "S-sorry..."

"oh no no no! It's okay I'm fine with that, no need to be sorry about it..." Lucas finally replied and Lucius went silent again, still looking down at his feet. "You're not really the only one..."

"What do you mean...?"

Lucas smiled at Lucius, "I mean you're not the only one who's Gay..."

"what do you mean by that?"

Lucas stared at the boy, "I'm gay."

Lucius looked up at Lucas, "E-excuse me?" Lucas laughed at Lucius reaction. "S-Sorry but I-I just...I just didn't think that..."

"No no it's okay!"

Lucius sighed at his own awkwardness and shook his head, "We should probably get to our classes..."

"yea...see ya at lunch!" Lucas said, waving to Lucius as he walked off to his classes
