_Chapter 5_

Laura's POV

I'm super suspicious. Ross had glasses in his hands.. but why.. its so weird. whatever. I was standing at my locker texting my cousin Maia who was supposed to come over today. She's sweet and she is Australian although I have the worst Aussie accent.. but I'm learning from Maia.. cause she's awesome. I closed my phone and put it in my locker. Just then I felt a tap on my shoulders, Jake.

   ''what's up Jake?'' he shrugged.

  ''nothing much actually just wanted to let you know we're going over to Ross' today.'' I choked.

   ''we're going over to what now?..'' I asked.

  ''yeah I'm gonna play the Xbox with him and you can tag along too c'mon pwease.'' he did puppy dog eyes. I groaned.

   ''fine. but I'm leaving after Maia comes,''

  ''awesome!'' I signed when the bell rang. I was walking through the hallways when a hand grabbed me and pulled me into a closet. I went to scream but a hand covered my mouth. my eyes fluttered open to see Ross... in glasses.

   ''shhh.. don't make a noise! I need help laura.. please!'' he pleaded.

''wait why are you wearing glasses?'' I asked suspiciously.

''uhm... my teacher... told me! cause for drama class I have to be this.. nerd.. and I need contacts cause this girl... wilberness... needs them so I'm just being nice and helping her out.'' he said shrugging then looking down. he's trying to hide something. I may be pretty but I am not definitely not stupid. wait aren't I supposed to be ignoring him. he's a player and he's jerky!!! I needed to set what really happened straight.

   ''I'll give them to you if you tell me what happened to this girl you had dated. people say she had committed suicide because of you...'' I asked curious. Just then he looked up. his eyes were dark like fire and he looked angry.

   ''I DON'T NEED YOUR PALE NOSE SNOOPING AROUND IN MY BUSINESS!'' he snapped at me. He ran out of the closet and slammed the door behind him. What's up with him? why does he always act so weird? I didn't mean to get on his nerves. I sighed opening the door and closed it behind me.

Ross's POV

I ran into the parking lot and jumped into my car. I sighed tears streaming down my face. The whole suicide thing.. yeah I never did anything... people make dumb rumors about me and when people make rumors about that, it kills me. People think I'm the murderer, but I'm not. Let's talk about this later. it kinda a very touchy subject. The only ones who know are my family. I raced home and went upstairs, plopping on to my bed. I quietly sobbed and then got up. I changed into my normal geekish clothes and glasses. I waked downstairs and saw a note on the table.

Gone shopping with family. Lunch on the counter. Feel better Rosstar.

they must've saw me crying. I sighed picking p the phone. I ran back upstairs and changed into my bad boyish clothes but didn't take off my glasses. I picked up the phone and dialed Jakes number. I then hung up remembering he was still at school. I sighed and laid on the couch, surfing through channels.

Laura's POV

FINALLY SCHOOL WAS OVERR! I was so happy I could go home and see Maia again... after going over to Ross' house with Jake. I honestly don't wanna see Ross. he was pretty mad at me for earlier today. I gathered my books and went over to Jakes locker only to find him flirting with a girl...   I went closer and closer to them to hear the conversation.

  ''so hey Zoey!'' he said smiling at her, the girl who I'm supposing is ''zoey'' looked athletic. she was tall and pretty. time to make my move.

  ''oh hey jakey wakey!'' I said teasing him because I know it was his crush. I could tell by the way he looked at her. he shot me a death glare.

   ''omg! you're laura Marano! the most popular girl in school!!! that's awesome! Jake you never told me you were related to her!'' zoey exclaimed. he nodded and blushed a little. awwwe, young love.

  ''yup I'm his sister yay, okay I'll leave you two lovey birdies alone!'' they both blushed madly. I smirked walking away. I looked back and saw them both laughing and talking. Zoey kissed him on the cheek and he blushed madly. I didn't wanna interrupt their moment so, I texted Jake to meet me at the lynches.
