The Prophecy

Prologue

Jessamine

"Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, there were two girls, one half demon, the other, half pure angel. They both had trauma in their past, but the half demon couldn't move past the death of her brother, and the half angel couldn't get past the brutal murder of her parents. They had more in common than they thought, but they couldn't learn to see past their differences.

"One day, the two girls were summoned. It was their duty to go on a quest. Together... "

Rowan

"Together...

"So off they went. Arguing, fighting, and bickering all the way..They never learnt how to work together, but it didn't stop them. Never mind if one hated the other, they could pretend they were alone as they slaughtered demons in their masses. That was, until they faced it..."

Jessamine

"A demon they could only defeat if they worked together, as a team, however, this would never happen. They tried to face the demon, but, would they be able to overcome their differences, and accept their similarities? It seemed unlikely...

"They faced the demon, with its tentacles and claws and its monstrous voice. They fought it valiantly, together, yet apart. After hours of effort and bravery, they were exhausted, and the demon was no closer to death."

Rowan

"Eventually, when the two girls were doubled over with exhaustion, and the demon was laughing in their face of their failed attempts, he bent over, and whispered in his screeching voice the secret they both longed to hear."
