What's a taste of darkness? Not a pitch black room or the color of charcoal. But the struggle before the up rising. The pain before the heeling. A slitted wrist and suicide note on the bedside but no courage to go through with it. A million pills ,yet no power to swallow one. The tied rope but fear of jumping. The fall. Fall of your soul. A dark, empty soul. Looking for light. Light inside the darkness. A light to shine on your misused heart. The overwhelming feeling of an abandoned soul. Nobody gets it. Nobody gets you. Nobody understands your pain. But you're fine. Right? Are you? Fine? How fine can a dark soul be? "Fine" is what you say a million times a day. To avoid the light. Light of your soul. But it's a phase. The light is beneath the true you. Everyone faces darkness. The darkness that weakens the soul. The key to defeating its taunting spirit is letting go. Letting go of who you use to be. Dwelling on who you can be. And finally. There's the light.
