Reckless Alucard

"An enemy has been slain!"

The announcer proclaims as Zilong rushes back in within his turret's range, protecting him from his enemies' murderous intent. After killing one of their teammates, the Dragon Knight's health was reduced to half. Going up against Martis, Gusion and Karina would be suicide. Speaking of which, the three glared at the brunette from outside the turret's range. Karina, readying to charge in there to quickly take Zilong's life. How bad will sacrificing a few HP bars do?

As she started running for him, Zilong quickly turned around and ran the opposite direction when he felt a dagger hit him. A curse fell out his lips, knowing full well what will happen once he steps away from his only source of protection— Gusion will run at him instead and end him with a flurry of daggers. If he's going to die here, at least bring these bastards with him.

And as soon as Karina steps within range, Zilong turns back and plunges his spear into her stomach and then flipping her over before attacking her with all his remaining strength.

Gusion and Martis saw this and both rush in to defend their teammate. The Dagger assassin dashing in right before the Dragon Knight while the Ashura King struck him with his giant thorns, stunning him.

"Well...this is it..." Zilong says to himself as he closes his eyes.

"HURAAH!"

The loud battle cry startles the knight, making him snap his eyes wide open. Before him he sees Alucard, swinging his sword violently at the offenders— his sword glowing a malicious red.

The three enemies quickly back off and start retreating back but the Hunter won't let them escape easily. With his sword locked on Karina, who was the closest to him, Alucard makes a high jump into the air towards her direction and slams his sword onto the ground, performing Ground Splitter. Karina was slowed down, making a fast escape difficult. The Hunter used this to into his advantage and started barraging her with powerful sword strikes.

Left with no other choice, Karina turns back and faces the Hunter and sends him powerful magic-induced attacks. Not long after, Gusion and Martis join in on the clash, attacking Alucard with all their skills.

"I'm not crowd control for nothing!!" exclaimed the Demon Hunter as he spins his sword around with such speed the action was blurry to the naked eye.

Zilong thought that he should help out his comrade but it will cost him his life if he dares interfere. So as an attempt to help Alucard, he yells out to him, "INITIATE RETREAT!"
In which the Hunter subtly ignores.

"Idiot, you cannot take them all by yourself!!" the brunette calls out.

His words still unacknowledged by the blond.

With a sharp huff, Zilong continues to watch the conflict unravelling before his eyes. The three enemies surrounding Alucard at all sides made it hard to see how the Hunter was fairing. It won't be long until the announcer proclaims a slain ally.

In a blink of an eye, a large, crimson wave blasts through three of the enemies. One fell to the ground while the other two disbursed to flee.

"INITIATE RETREAT!" Martis calls out to Gusion— who was attempting to hide within the bushes.

"I don't think so!" Alucard smirks and performs Ground Splitter— jumping towards the tall grass and then slamming his sword down, slaying Gusion within.

"My blades.. Weren't fast enough.." the assassin weakly states before dying.

Meanwhile, Martis was almost within his turret's range. Safety will soon be in his hands.

But the Hunter refuses to let anyone go alive. Not after how they almost killed Zilong.

With a wide leap, Alucard enters the turret's range and reaches the Ashura king and slays him with a swing of his sword.

"Triple Kill!"

After the kill, Alucard flees from the turret's line of fire, getting shot two times as he did so. Zilong meets up with him half way and punches him on the arm.

"Oww!!" Alucard exclaims. "What was that for?!"

"You almost got yourself killed, you idiot!" Zilong answers back with another punch to the Hunter's arm.

"Oww!! Okay, I'm sorry!" the Hunter apologizes as he rubs his pained arm.

"You—" the Knight starts. "You are—"

"Strong, powerful, courageous, and let's not forget, handsome?" Alucard cuts in.

"...dangerous."

"Oh." Alucard says flatly. "I...didn't expect that description but I'll take it."

Zilong drags a long sigh of annoyance from Alucard's statement and shakes his head lightly. Clearly, loving this reckless warrior is indeed nerve-racking and it'd scare the Knight in the slightest whenever he'd make a bold stunt like he did earlier. Then again, he would do the same if Alucard was in his shoes. But it still— it doesn't change the fact that his way of battling consists of mindlessly jumping into large groups of people. Alucard's potential may be crowd control but it's not all the time he'll emerge out alive.

"Come," Zilong orders. "Let's head back to base and heal up. The battle's not over yet."

Gold rings slowly start to circle around the Knight as he begins to recall. Similar rings also encircle the Hunter as he recalls with him.

"Sure, darling." Alucard agrees with a smile, causing the Knight to blush at the nickname.

"Fool.." Zilong mutters under his breath as he turns his head away from Alucard before vanishing, the Hunter following after.

Their battles always consisted these moments. Either of the two running for the other's rescue, assisting the other with slaying the Lord or wiping out enemies during a clash. At the end of the day, both will come out victorious, whether they have won or defeated. As long as they have each other, it will always be a huge win for the both of them.
