McGonagall's P.O.V
As all of the students were filing in to the Great Hall, I was walking out to retrieve the first years and start the sorting. I flew by all the names until I got to a name that never ceases to surprise me.
"Harry Potter!" I call out in to the crowd of children. The small boy walks up slowly to the stool and he sits. I put the hat on his head and after a anxious 3 minutes, the hat called out;
"SLYTHERIN!" I looked surprised and Harry did to as he walked to the Slytherin table.
"Draco Malfoy!" I call out as he walked forward and sat on the stool. Before the hat even touched his head it screamed out;
"SLYTHERIN!" And Draco proudly strut over to the Slytherin table and sat beside Harry. I continue through the names. I wasn't surprised when the hat told me Ronald Weasley was in Gryffindor, because his whole family was! As the last of the sorted students walked to their table, I looked at looked at the Slytherin table and saw Harry, Draco, Blaise, Pansy and Daphne laughing. I smiled at the sight of blossoming friendship. I sat at the teachers/staffs table and listened to Dumbledore's speech. Soon he had finished and the food appeared. I started to eat and talk to the other teachers around me. I enjoyed my dinner. After dinner was finished, the house prefects were leading their houses to the dormitories. I went to my private chamber and got ready to sleep. Soon I was laying in my red covered bed and fell asleep with a pleasant dream about..... you don't wanna know.
