10:20 a.m.
Sitting outside of a café.
Summer breezes brush her silver hair against her cheek.
She is absolutely stunning.
Lisa has to distract herself by putting her coffee against her mouth. Not only does it distract herself, but the cup hides her slight blush.
"Practice was pretty good today, don't ya think, Yukina?"
"I agree. Though, something still concerns me." Yukina replies, putting her index finger to her chin.
"O–oh? And what's that?" Lisa stutters.
Yukina takes a sip of her black coffee before saying, "How can we be sure we are giving it our all?"
Lisa looks in to her golden eyes. She studies the small wing of eyeliner and long eyelashes that her friend possesses.
"Well, didn't we prove amazing when played your fathers song a long while ago? You weren't sure that you could do it, but you gave it your all! Surely that's enough to show us we are doing just fine."
"Maybe so, but I still can't shake the feeling of wanting to push myself."
"Hey, Yukina, just remember that we are pretty advanced. How bout worrying about the things we can improve first? Other than that, we are good as gold when it comes to shows. If you relax and not push yourself, it'll help instead of rushing straight in to it. Besides, you always force yourself too hard."
Yukina smiles softly.
"I'll take that into consideration."
"Why are you so focused on pushing the band even further anyways?"
"I want us to be perfect. Nothing can come in front of us."
"But Yukina...." Lisa begins. She looks down at the table. "Sometimes everyone can't have what they want. I'll keep supporting you nevertheless though! You're my best friend, somebody has to keep you in check!" Lisa suddenly balls up her hands and looks up in a determined way.
Yukina is fixed on what she said before though.
" 'Everyone can't have what they want,' huh? Is that the statement?" Yukina stares at Lisa with a harsh but calm look in her eyes.
"Oh! Uhm, I– I didn't mean for it to come out that way! Sorry Yukina. I probably should have chosen my words better, huh? Heheh." Lisa laughs it off nervously, avoiding any more eye constant with Yukina.
"Lisa," Yukina says sternly. "What possessed you to say something such as that to me? You know how much I want to succeed." She finishes and crosses her arms across her chest.
Lisa still isn't looking."I know that! I know how much you love music and the motivation to be perfect, but I'm just adding my input. It's not even only mine, it's just truth. Not everybody gets what they want. I would know, haha, I've experienced it multiple times from you." Lisa scratches the back of her head. Her light green eyes widen at what she spit out accidentally though.
Yukina's harsh stare turns soft as she feels a sudden bit of confusion and sadness as to what she may have possibly done to her best friend.
"And what precisely would that be Lisa?"
Lisa stays quiet.
"Lisa" Yukina tries again.
Still nothing.
"Lisa! You are not making even the slightest bit of sense whatsoever! What exactly are you trying to get across to me?" Yukina stands up abruptly, starting to get a little frustrated.
"You wouldn't understand Yukina! You're so wrapped up in the band and your career that you practically have no room for friendship to anyone any more! How could I possibly admit to loving you if all you do is run away from me and our friendship!?" Lisa yells back, slamming the table, causing the dishes to rattle. Yukina jumps slightly at Lisa's sudden burst, never ever expecting something like that from her.
But then it hits her.
What Lisa just said.
"So....that's what you've never received from me. Feelings in return for you."
Lisa blushes.
"I have to go. I have to cover for Moca today. Thanks for the coffee." Lisa says quietly. She grabs her light cardigan and her phone. "And yeah....I never got that from you. Like I said, not everyone can have what they want." She smiles sadly, some tears starting in her eyes.
As soon as Lisa starts to walk off, Yukina stands there and feels a shatter in her body.
"Lisa..." She says quietly. Lisa keeps walking, not hearing her silver haired friend.
"Lisa!" Yukina jogs quickly and grabs Lisa's wrist. Lisa stops and looks.
"I want to return these feelings to you, Lisa." Yukina smiles a bit, tears in her eyes as well. "I had no inkling. No inkling at all." Yukina turns Lisa around and pulls Lisa into a hug.
Yukina runs fingers through Lisa's hair softly as they embrace each other.
"I love you too, Lisa. You're my everything."
