20 years have passed since her parents have been murdered.
28 year old Andria works as a policewoman in the neighborhood and has made a name for herself.
Andria runs down the neighborhood and towards her new home with her nanny, otherwise now known as Aunt Florence. Under the name "Andy" Matthews, she lives a care-free life as the niece of Florence Matthews along with her sister Lainey Matthews.
With sweat dripping down her face, she stops in front of the house as the scenes replayed in her mind; from when her father last kissed her forehead to when his eyes met with hers as he breathed his last. She shook her head, trying to get the image out of her mind.
She remembered hours after her parents have been killed, she sat in the small room with Elaina. She was traumatized and didn't make a sound as she hugged Elaina quietly. After knowing that it was safe, she come out of the room with Elaina, who has now woken up. They walk down to their rooms and Andria begins packing some clothes for her and Elaina before they leave the house forever.
As they take their steps towards the door of the house, Andria turns around and grabs a picture of the family and sticks it into her small book bag before leaving. They walk down the road and towards their Nanny's house.
Andria knocks on the door and there stood an older lady who was in her late 20s, with short brown hair and wearing a sleeping gown.
"Good Lord." Florence said as she knelt down and hugged both Andria and Elaina upon seeing the locket around Andria's neck. "I'm so sorry."
Andria remembers the years going by slowly as her mind would replay the scenes over and over again, torturing her at night and torturing her in her dreams.
Upon relocating from her Nanny's old home, they moved to one of the houses in the suburbs of San Jose, California. And that is where they started life anew. They unpacked their boxes and moved in to the home. Andria walks upstairs and sees her room. As though her father already knew his time was coming, he had prepared everything for them. He had a room that included everything that Andria loved. Books filled the shelves and pink was everywhere in her room. In Elaina's room, there were tons of stuffed animals that bordered her bed.
Florence was also presented with their birth certificates and passports to make life easier for them. Upon entering school, Andria had to choose a new name. Without hesitation, when the school asked for Andria's name, she blurted out "Andy". Florence felt bad for the two girls and took pity on them. But due to her being loyal to their parents, she was willing to care for them. Elaina's name was then changed to Lainey and they began a new life.
"Andy!" She heard someone call for her. She turned around and saw Drew, the boy down the road who she met when she moved into town. Andria wiped her face and smiled.
"Hi." She said as he walked up to her.
"Morning run again?" Drew asked. Andria smiled and nodded.
"Can't miss out on this." Andria said. Drew smiled and looked away.
"What's wrong?" Andria asked.
"I was wondering if it was okay with you if...." Drew stammered.
"If what?" Andria asked. Andria knew that Drew had a crush on Elaina but never said anything.
"Um... how do I say this?" Drew continued to stammer.
"You want me to ask Lainey to go to breakfast with you?" Andria asked.
"Yes!" Drew said with his face gleaming proudly. "I mean I know she has a boyfriend...and she doesn't know I like her... I mean she only sees me as a brother and..."
