This is supposed to be a friendly reply; I read your rants (Lexi, yours on the account LexiTheCat) and thought I could bring up some opposing points!

Millie's purpose in the series; It sucks, but we all know why it exists.

Millie is very obviously a replacement for the character that is largely worshipped by the fandom: Silverstream. Okay, I'm no Silverstream hater, I actually quite like her, but she's pretty monotone. I might do a chapter on her too, I guess it depends. Some people think that Millies sudden appearance is for one, unrealistic, and two, an afterthought by the Erins. Now; the second is most likely true, but honestly, it actually makes sense for Greystripes character! (Also yeah the thing with the eye/pelt colour is pretty messed up but I'm going to ignore that because that's just the Erins being dumb) The figure that Greystripe was developed into basically made a mold for a cat that sort of always needs a mate.

Why Greystripe became close to her in the first place; analyzing his logic.

Earlier in the books, he relied on his friend group with Raven- and Firepaw, afterwards only clung to Fireheart. After meeting Silverstream, he was completely devoted to her and didn't care for much else; he missed an entire battle while meeting with his forbidden love, showing that she was basically the only thing he cared about at that point. When she died while kitting, he only had the kits to remember her by and in turn, clung to them, giving up his clan to be with the only thing he could remember his mate by. When he did go back to ThunderClan, he needed to be able to have them carry his weight, so tried to prove himself. In doing so, he was trapped in the twoleg capture monster and was taken to a household and trapped there.
Think about it; he doesn't have anything to hold on to anymore. It's logical to him to become close to a cat who shows interest in his forest life; and that cat is Millie. (Lots of things that I'm going to bring up here happen in the Manga, so, Spoiler Alert) When he fails in trying to return to his clan, Millie helps him and carries his weight, something he is so used to and so happy to have. This is why she became his mate, at least how I would explain it.

Her relationship with Greystripe; is she supportive or not?

Now, if you have read the manga, you could probably skip this part entirely because it is quite self-explanatory in the storyline. Millie leaves her housefolk, home, friends, well, EVERYTHING SHE KNOWS to be with Greystripe. She didn't want to go to the forest with him at first, but later realized that he is more important to her than anything else. She traveled, (much more efficiently than Greystripe, if I may add that) to find him and help him return to his home.  She found him, dehydrated, worn out, and probably with heat stroke in a fücking PILE OF TRASH and helped him out. She is basically the reason that Greystripe is still alive, and you can't really argue with that.

Her Clan life; does she carry her weight?

Short answer; well, yeah. She hunts and fights just as well as any other warrior, and there are ZERO hints to her having bad relationships with the Clan members. Of course they are ALL a bit annoyed when she first joins the Clan, but it was the same with Rusty, Yellowfang, etc..

The kit situation; yes, she is a pretty bad mom.

I can't really argue with this, because it is fully true that Millie is annoying and neglective (is that a word?) to her kits. To one that was extremely injured, she is always nagging, to one that is having trouble, she is ignorant. That is, honestly, terrible, but this is why: Millie is a cat that also clings to a specific other. She was extremely close to Greystripe, and now that one of her kits is crippled, that kit gets clung to by her mother. Millie is unable to switch between focuses now that her current focus is permanently injured. And yes, Silverstream did not get a chance to raise kits. She probably would have done better.

Silverstreams reaction; despite popular belief, Silverstream completely accepts Millie.

This is also in the Manga, as a lot of other points are as well. Greystripe has a dream in the Manga, when he is about to leave. He thought that he wouldn't ask Millie to come with him, but changes his mind after having this dream. Silverstream and Feathertail visit him from StarClan and encourage him to ask Millie to travel with and help him. They are absolutely fine with it! I can't really say much more about that.

Millies name; is it bad that she kept her Kittypet name?

Again; short answer, no. It's the same situation as with Daisy, who kept her Rogue name. It's sort of a situation of pride; these cats are proud to show that they are strong enough and good enough to become respected in a Clan after a life that is generally frowned upon by Clan cats. They are really glad to show that they are good enough, and still have something to remind them of their previous life, which they must still be fond of.

That's all I got for Millie!

If you want me to do a YouTube video on Silverstream, Millie, and Greystripe, please let me know, because it is something I would enjoy! I just don't know if others would.
