Since we're over at Kat's house, we ransack her wardrobe for tonight's party. I choose a red shimmery sequined mini dress with classic black heels and emerald earrings.
The others look great, with Cathy in a black dress with the strap around her neck to form an A-line shape, and gold heels. Kat's in a gold dress with her trademark bangles and black flats. Elody is in her shimmery emerald dress and red heels. And besides the fact that Richard's going, I'm feeling excited.
I start driving to Dan's house, and we watch as everyone parts and makes way for us when we make our entrance. Well, duh. We're the most popular girls in the whole school.
People are already drunk. I break up from the girls and look for Dan. On the way I hear the noise from all the rooms with people in them. Urgh.
"Hey," I hear someone say behind me. It's my boyfriend. Whom I never feel comfortable with anymore. I can tell he's drunk. His face is blotchy and red and horrific. All of a sudden, I want the old Dan back.
