As I watched Maddy walk off into the horizan, I slowly sank down to my knees and cried. She was my life and now she has been taken away from me yet again. Now I know how she must have felt when I left her. Who knows how long we will have to stay apart, and the thought of forever suddenly shakes me. I curl up in a ball and place my hands over my eyes. The ground is muddy and wet but it soaking up my floods of tears like a sponge. Why had I not chosen to go with her? I love and I can't live without her, so why have I let her go? Shannon runs over to me and places her hand on my arched back, but I shrug it off because I dont want to look weak infront of my friends but Shannon is too clever for me.
"You know you would be mad is you weren't feeling like this Rhydian. Tom and I are really going to miss Maddy as well so we can all get throught this together, yeah?"
"You dont understand Shannon. You know Maddy as a friend and although you have known her for your whole life, I feel like I have known her longer, like we are meant to be together, but know I have let her slip through my fingers and I will never fogive myself for that. My one chance I had to stay with her forever and I have let it go."
Shannon looked at Tom for a split second, almost as if they were verifying their thoughts to one another to check that they were going to say the same thing.
"Maddy will come back for you, Rhydian. I have never seen her so happy as when she is around you and if she doesn't come back then we will find her together with you. You both love each other too much to stay apart," Tom whispered to Rhydian.
Rhydian looked up at the sunset and realised how late it was getting. The last part of the sun was just about to fade into the horizan before a new day began. It was a pleasent day in Stoneybridge, one of those days where the sun never seemed to disapear and the wind gently brushed your hair. The bees would quietly hum and the clouds act like a protective barrier from the harsh sun rays.
"I have got to find her, even if it's the last thing I do on earth. I need to find her, she is my life and I will give my life up to the one who I love.
