It's really hot here isn't it

I open my eyes only to close it again because of the bright sunlight, it took a while for my eyes to adjust.

Now with my eyes open and I start to realize my surrounding and the first thing I realize is how wet I am from sweating too much.

From this I realize that sleeping outside in the savanna area in the middle of the day even if you're under a tree is not that smart.

Remembering something I look to my right to see how my friends is handling this, but no one was there.

Wondering where they were I stand up.

Looking around the tree to see if they're around only to find nothing, I begin to worry.

I look around some more hoping to find some clue about their where they are, there got to be something.

i'm starting to feel anxious.

Just when i'm about to run around and screaming their name I hear laughter from somewhere
hoping that it's a clue of their whereabouts I try my best to calm myself and focus on the sound.

The sound is not too far away, on top of a small hill and I feel like I'm quite familiar with it.

I run to the source of the laughter only to stop on the middle panting for air
even though the hill is not that big the running and the heat is really making me tired.

I decide to just slowly walk to the top the closer I get to the top the louder I hear the laughter and after I reach the top I see a hole full of water.

There I see them, my friends.

Kaban a young girl with a short black hair sitting on the edge dipping her leg in the water
and the really active cat Serval splashing around while laughing.

Seems like the both of them haven't notice that I'm here yet.

Time for a little payback for leaving me behind.

I slowly walk behind Kaban making sure to not be found out and when i'm behind her i lightly tap her right shoulder.

Surprised she suddenly looked behind and when her face is in front of me i suddenly kiss her on the lips.

Stunned she didn't do anything but when she realized it was me she starts kissing back but i suddenly separate from her and give her a little push.

"Kyaa…

Being pushed she falls into the water.

Standing up she looks at me with a surprised face.

"What was that for!"

"Which one the kiss or the push?"

She pouts at me.

"Both."

"It's only a little payback for leaving me behind."

Then she looks at me with a face that looked like she realised something.

"Ahh…"

"So what's your excuse"

It took her 10 minutes to explain to me why she left me behind.

So the story goes like this it seems like while I was sleeping Kaban woke up first because of the heat, so seeing that she can't handle the heat Serval decide to brought her here to cool down and before Kaban could wake me up Serval already drag her here.

"I see."

"So you understand right."

She breathe a sigh of relief.

"But.. What i don't understand is after being brought here why are you just enjoying your time here and not go back waking me up huh?"

"Ugh.. that…"

"You forgot about me didn't you!"

"There's no way that's true."

I see her eyes wandering around.

"You… hah.. Whatever I forgive you this time… where is Serval anyway"

It's weird that we've been talking here for so long, and she hasn't shown up yet.

I look to the place that I see her before to see that she was sleeping while floating on the water, seeing her sleeping so peacefully almost make me want to grab kaban and hide somewhere… almost.

I look at Kaban.

"Well since we're here anyway and it's still hot why don't we swim for a bit."

"Sure!"
