"RAWWRRRR!!!" "RAWR BITC-"
I slammed my hand down on the snooze button of my dinosaur alarm clock that I got for my fourteenth birthday, and rubbed my eyes. It was way to early for me. Well, anytime was way too early for me. But seven o'clock?! I mean why can't school start at a normal time? Like two.
I slowly sat up, and the aroma of waffles invaded my nose. I squealed and jumped out of bed only to trip over the mounds of skinny jeans on the floor. My face hit the ground with a thud.
"Owwwwwieee!" I held my nose and sniffled.
"Tristan! Get your arse down here and stuff your face!" My foster Mom, Jackie yelled.
I recovered quickly, and continued running down the stairs. My feet skidded across the kitchen floor and I slammed my face yet again against my foster Dad, Dan's, stomach. I looked up and smiled like an idiot.
"Hey there, son." He ruffled my hair and gave me a big grin. "Come on and eat some waffles, as an after treat from your birthday."
Jackie patted the seat next to her and I sat down. "Honey, you know you're only wearing your boxers, and the bus is going to be here in ten minutes right?" She muffled a laugh as I choked on a waffle.
"What the flip?!!! My alarm clock said it was seven!" I looked at the kitchen clock and it clearly said seven twenty. "Great! I can't even enjoy my eggin' waffles!!" I pouted as I ran upstairs to throw on some clothes real quick. I eyed my face in the mirror, and fixed my long blonde bangs so they were covering my forehead the right way. I swiped some eyeliner along the rim of my eye, brushed my teeth, and sighed. This would have to be good enough.
Quickly, I walked back downstairs. I slowed my pace when I heard my foster parents talking about something.
"Honey," Jackie whispered, "don't worry about a thing. Isn't eyeliner like, a new fad for boys around his age?"
"No Jackie, and it never fucking will-" His harsh whispers were cut off abruptly by me stepping into the kitchen. I smiled and grabbed a waffle. Jackie looked worried, and Dan grunted. They couldn't have been talking about me, right?
"Well, I'm off. See you guys after school." I started toward the door, but Dan stopped me.
"Wait son, you said your phone has been messing up right? If you give it to me, I'll take it to the shop today after church and get it fixed for you." He smiled and held his hand out.
My face lit up, but my smile slowly faded as I remembered what I told Shelly the other day. With shaky hands, I took out my phone and handed it to Dan.
"Well, come on! Don't miss your bus!" Jackie shooed me out the double doors, and I sighed once they shut.
I looked up at the mansion called my home, and sighed once more. My feet started to drag themselves to the bus stop. I sat down on the bench and waited. Lately, I've started to realize how lucky I was to have my foster parents. Sure, they were all about god, rich and snobby to other people, but they actually care about me. Unlike my real parents, who didn't want children. I was told they gave me up right after I was born, and the Levi's took me right away. They were looking desperately for a child, or something like that. I dunno, I'm uber glad they loved me as much as I loved them.
I just hoped to Bob that Dan didn't read my texts to my best friend, Shelly.
The bus pulled up, and I plopped in the first seat, like always. My fingers dug around my bag for my ipod. I grabbed it and crunk up the volume to Alesana.
