Today was Kehlani's twenty third birthday and she was on tour in Australia supporting Halsey. It was currently 4am in the morning and I had gotten up to decorate the tour bus with the banners and balloons I had already brought a few days before. I sat down on the sofas at the back of the tour bus and proceeded blowing up the numerous multicoloured balloons that had written on them 'Happy 23rd Birthday'. Once I had blown up 2 packs of them, I tacked them up all over the bus and hung up the banners. It wasn't long before I heard footsteps and a knock on the door that separated the bunks from the rest of the bus. A very sleepy looking Kehlani slid open the door while rubbing her left eye. "Morning." she said groggily. "Good morning baby. Happy birthday." I replied smiling at the very beautiful women stood in front of me. She was wearing an oversized hoodie and her hair was in a messy bun on top of her head. "Thanks." she said smiling whilst walking over to me. I patted my knee to motion for her to sit on my lap which she did. I wrapped my arms around her waist as she buried her face in my neck and left a series on delicate kisses there. We sat in a comfortable silence for a few minutes until she said "Where did those banners come from?". I just giggled and replied "I put them up this morning.".
"Why?" she asked. "Because it's your birthday!" I said laughing and kissing her cheek. "That's why your up early then." she said. "I missed not waking up next to you." she said pouting. "I know, I missed it too but you were fast asleep and I thought it was the perfect opportunity to put the decorations up before you woke up.".
"Come back to bed." she said standing up and taking my hand in hers. "Don't you wanna open your presents?" I said slightly confused. "Later. We still have another hour before we have to wake up." she replied tugging at my hand to get me to stand up. I did and she lead me back to her bunk. We both climbed into her extremely small bunk and I wrapped my arm around her waist as she tucked her head into my chest. We both had separate bunks but we very rarely slept in them without the other with us. "Thank you." Kehlani said into my chest, her voice slightly muffled. "For what?" I asked. "All the banners and balloons. The bus looks really good." she said kissing the patch of exposed skin on my chest where my t shirt had moved down slightly. "Your welcome baby." I said kissing her forehead and pulling her in closer to me. She moaned slightly and whispered "I love you.". I kissed her forehead and smiled. "I love you too baby. Happy birthday."
