oh how jaemin hated this feeling.

the slow buildup of annoyance as you crave the attention of someone who isn't even looking at you.

constantly tapping them and laughing alone at the jokes you say but they don't listen as they turn around and talk to someone else.

the clinginess.

the laughter.

they may be creating fun inside jokes and memories with each other but for jaemin, it's something he would love to forget.

he hated feeling this way, it made him want to take a shower and watch cartoons to calm his nerves.

it also made him feel guilty.

sometimes, jealousy can cause you to not think right.

it can cause your head to be in a different mindset.

jaemin loved renjun and jeno with his entire heart but his emotions could cause him to lash out.

he didn't want to lash out though, it's not their fault. he can't control their friendship, he can't tell them when they can and can't talk, he doesn't own them and they don't owe him shit.

that's why he would stay quiet. he tried not to let anyone catch on but there were a few things you could notice if you look close enough.

he gets a bit fidgety, tapping his foot and playing with his fingers.

depending on his level, he'll either rip off his fingernails or bite them off.

his eyebrows get twitchy. they'd furrow and then go back to normal just as fast, trying not to let the people around him know of his jealousy because he's ashamed.

and lastly, he looks around a lot, trying not to zone in on the two people who are making him feel this way.

he thought that it would make him less obvious about, he could easily lie and say that his coffee made him feel a bit anxious, but once you've exhibited these behaviors enough times, people will catch on.

when he made eye contact with donghyuck, the boy promptly shut his mouth and looked away, obviously trying not to laugh at him.

chenle looked over at donghyuck, causing jisung to do the same cause chenle was always the center of his attention, and the two of them looked away quickly, trying not to laugh as well.

and the funniest part is that renjun never seemed to noticed.

"lay off the coffee jaemin, you're so antsy." renjun directed at him before going back into conversation with jeno, making the boy deflate.

chenle stood up and walked away to pretend like he was filling up his water bottle when in reality, he tried not to laugh in front of him.

"awwwww! poor baby." donghyuck whined and leaned onto jaemins shoulder with a fake pout. he pinched the younger boys cheek and stretched it out.
