King Francis and Queen Anne meanwhile betrothed Prince Charles to Princess Anne of Denmark and Norway, Prince Francis to Mary, Queen of Scots, Prince Henry to Princess Isabella of Portugal, Princess Madeline to Prince Christen of Denmark and Norway, Princess Marie to Prince Phillip of Spain, Princess Elisabeth to Prince Edward of England, Princess Claude and Prince Louis were allowed to chose their spouses.
