Chapter 1: Dating?

It all happened so quickly... You were just out for lunch one day when it all happened...

At your favorite outdoor cafe:

There's scattered tables with umbrellas that cast a nice shade from the sun.

A few people are seated and sipping on their own drinks while either chatting, reading, or studying

You sat at a table with your friends Emmy, Zoey, Jessica, and Haechan.

Their boyfriends were there as well, but it all just happened really quickly.

You were all just sitting while your orders were being made. "Nice dress by the way, Y/N."

Jessica smiled, leaning on Jaehyun's shoulder.

"You're too sweet, Jess." You smiled back, waving politely.

"You're welcome." She smiles.

"I can't wait until Jeno gets back and we can eat." Emmy kept looking at her food.

Zoey was poking at her food with her fork

Mark turned to her. "Zoey, what's up with you?"

Haechan rested his arm on your chair. You noticed it and smiled.

"Nothing, I just hate tomatoes is all." Mark moved them to the left with her fork.

"Better?" He asks, moving them to his plate. She nods.

"How long have all of you been together?" Haechan asks while rubbing over your arm.

You choose to ignore it and listen to Mark. "Three years, coming onto four."

Mark keeps eating and you watch him and Zoey rub noses.

"So are we!" Jessica adds and Emery joins.

Haechan gets a little jealous over your friends.

He makes up a quick intermission.

"O-oh yeah? Well, Y/N and I have been together for three weeks!"

You nearly choke on your food when you hear him say it.

Dating? Since when?

"W-what you meant to say is we've been FRIENDS for three years!"

I try to distract.

"No I don't, I meant dating, you know, kissing, holding hands, cuddli-"

"U-uh Haechan is a little bit out of it today guys, sorry about that..."

You faked an apology for your friends.

"Y/N, if you two are dating, you don't have to hide it."

Mark teases, shaking his head as he drinks more.

"We're no--!" Haechan stops you from speaking for a second.

"Honey, baby, my little muffin, you don't have to be embarrassed!"

He giggles, drinking his smoothie. "B-baby?!? since when di-"

This boy loves teasing people.

You in specific.

"Never mind that, I get it, I'm just SUCH a cute embarrassment..."

He jokes, high-fiving Mark and they both laugh as they look at you.

You cross your legs and fix your shoes, trying to ignore their jokes.

"So, when's the wedding you two?" Zoey jokes.

You facepalmed.
