My dress twirled around me like a flag gracefully taking to the wind. I spun in circles, my platform sandals giving me an extra two inches of height on top of the table. If anyone hadn't already seen my ass in a bikini, they sure have now. I flounced my yellow mini dress around anyways.
"Summer!" My best friend called from somewhere by the pool. "Get your drunk ass off of there. We both know how this is going to end."
I turned my focus to her, my head spinning from either all the twirling or the alcohol, probably good ratio of both. A smile grew on my face when I saw her with a few guys next to her, also joining the peanut gallery. "Listen, Bee. If I fall, I'll still be laughing, so who cares!"
She rolled her eyes and rested her legs on one of the guys laps. Bella was better at flirting and guys than I was, but I, by far, was far more skilled at having a good time whether I had some dog on my tail all night or not. That was a fact.
A tall guy with damn good hair walked past the table I was on with a drink in his hand. I didn't know him, nor did I want to. Tall guys with good hair, and a jawline that could kill, were no good. But he smiled at me sweetly. One of his buddies turned around and gave me a smirk.
"Hey, Wilkins!" He howled to me. Another pesky dog that I just couldn't resist. I eyed him up. "That's a nice ass you've got there, maybe you should dance some more."
Don't fuck this up, Summer. He's hot and interested, and Bee would be so proud if you just flirted a little just for once. I sat down on the table, my hair framing my face in a stupid drunk sort of way.
"Thanks, I grew it myself." I said poking him in the arm. "And maybe you should join me up here."
He bit his bottom lip, and his hotter friend with the nice jaw rolled his eyes next to him. "Can I get you a drink?"
I tried untying the strings of my sandals, "Can I get your name?"
"Kyle."
"Well, Kyle, I would love a drink."
He winked and walked toward the kitchen, leaving his friend awkwardly standing in front of me as I struggled to untie my shoe. I fiddled with the strings for a minute before giving up and dangling my legs off the edge of the table.
"Need some help there?" He mused after watching me fail. I nodded and stuck my leg out for him.
He kneeled down and I got a better look his face. A slight tan took over his face and some light freckles dotted his nose, my weakness. His eyes flicked up at me, nearly making me melt right there. His hands we warm and I wanted nothing more than to grab them. He handed me my shoes and smiled at me.
"Is your friend not coming back?" I wondered after waiting for about ten minutes.
He glanced over his shoulder and shook his head. "Sorry, I think he might've gotten sidetracked." I looked behind him to see Kyle with his tongue down some girl's throat. I nodded with a disappointed smile and stood up with a sigh.
I walked to a bottle in the kitchen and poured myself a drink with lots and lots of vodka. The hot guy who is still didn't get the name of walked up from behind me and grabbed the drink from my hand, and placed it on the counter. I gave him a confused look. He then took the hair tie from my wrist and tied my hair back into a messy ponytail. I didn't even care.
"You," He started as he handed me my drink, "Are not getting vomit in that pretty hair of yours."
I took a step closer to him. "And what makes you think I'll be puking tonight?"
