Silence...
That's all that Arthur wanted, a place where he didn't have to scream his lungs off and shout out profanities or lose his temper  because of some Frenchie and his loose-head brother,
No.
Arthur wanted a place where it was just him and his own fantasy, where he could get some peace and quiet and read a good book or two and that's exactly where he went,
To the library!

Arthur opened the doors to his destination, and went in and greeted the old librarian politely, due to his often visits here, the librarian smiles at him and nods, as Arthur went ahead. Looking through shelves for a book that might catch his interest, he saw a small but thick book with gold ridges and a rather royal feel to it, he took the book and read the title,
The Sheltering Skies
(I kid u not, this book is amazing 0w0)
This sparked Arthur's interest. Deciding to give it a go, he went to look for a good place to sit and went further into the library. As he walked, he heard the strumming of a guitar?
Who's playing a guitar in the library?
Out of curiosity, he went towards the sound, the strumming getting louder with every step until he reached a place with a few chairs and tables and shelves stacked with books that looked like it was more than 100 years old, he scanned the room and noticed the girl sitting in one of the chairs, and what seemed like an acoustic guitar in her lap. She had (H/L) (H/C) hair, her eyes closed as her fingers brushed lightly against the strings. She wore a black tee with a (F/C) jacket on top and ripped jeans, topped off with (F/C) vans. Arthur didn't deny it, she was quite beautiful but 'what is she doing in this deserted area of the library with a guitar' was his question. That's when he noticed the girl take a deep breath and started to sing,

The girl slowly fluttered her eyes open, and let out a sigh before seeing the unexpected visitor. Arthur stood there with a dumbfounded expression, a blush across his cheeks, not only is this mystery girl pretty but she also sings well, if Arthur believed in Love At First Sight, then he would have definitely welcomed the idea of having a crush on her, but his thoughts were interrupted by a squeak,
"h-how long have you b-been here??"
The girl asked, obviously embarrassed by the fact that he had heard her sing, with a blush evident on her face.
"Long enough to hear you sing, you have a beautiful voice." Arthur said, deciding on complimenting the girl, he found it adorable when she blushed harder after his words.
"Thank y-you..."
The girl gave a genuine smile, making Arthur melt.
"Oh, how ungentlemanly of me, I didn't even introduce myself! I'm Arthur Kirkland, it's a pleasure to meet you, miss..?"
Arthur went to introduce himself but trailed off towards the end as if asking for her name,
The girl giggled lightly
"I'm (Y/N) (L/N)! It's nice to meet you too Arthur"
The way his name rolled out of her tongue made Arthur tingle with excitement, but he still had a question lingering in his mind
"Pardon, but what were you doing alone here?"
The girl looked at him for a second, then looked away but she spoke nonetheless,
"Well, I come here often to read books or just sing and play my guitar, this is the only place where it's quiet and I can sing without anyone seeing me.."
The girl explained while fiddling with her guitar strings, while Arthur had another question,
How is this girl being accidentally cute?!
Arthur got cut off from his thoughts when (Y/N) asked,
"What about you? Did you come to read?"
She pointed to the book in his hand,
"Ah yes, I was looking for a good place to sit and that's when I found you"
Arthur said smiling, happy that he did find her.
(Y/N) returned his smile, but it turned into a slight frown when she checked her watch,
"Sorry Arthur, but I have to go, it was nice talking to you!"
She said as she kept her guitar back in its cover and was about to walk away when,
"W-wait! When can I s-see you again?" Arthur said clutching his book, surprised by his own words while she giggled,
"Pretty soon Arthur, pretty soon"
She said teasingly as she went back and gave him a piece of paper and ran out.
Arthur watched her until she was out of sight and looked at the paper,
"(Insert your number here)"

A blush broke out on his face as he let out a sigh, clutching the paper to his chest,

She's perfect...

Andd that's another oneshot down, I hope it was good.

This is one of my favorite songs and I had to do a oneshot about it and Arthur seemed 'perfect' for it!
