Chapter One
Lauren's P.O.V.
I still remember the first time we meet. It was the best day of my life. We were 16 then. I had known him before, seen him in my classes and around the halls, I just never really talked to him. He was always singing in the halls to himself. He never really talked much unless he was with Calum and or Michael, two of his best friendss from this school. He kept his head low and studied hard. He was walking home alone in the rain one night, arms wrapped tightly around him.
"Do you need a ride?" I asked politely. He kept walking, not looking up.
"Well do you need a jacket or something, you look freezing." He finally looked up at me. He looked tired and scared. His eyes flicked from my eyes to behind him. I scrunched my nose in confusion, looking behind us. He continued walking and said nothing.
I pulled out my sweatshirt from my backpack and handed it to him. He looked at it then at me. I smiled and pushed my hand closer to him.
"So where are you heading anyway?" He sighed in defeat.
"I'm not really sure. Just away I guess."
"It's poring outside and your just walking? You have to have some idea of where your going." He looked down at the ground again after putting on my sweatshirt. Good thing I like big sweatshirts.
"I just don't want to be around my mom. It's the end of the year and she's nagging me about all my classes and how I have to ace all my exams."
I completely forgot his mom is my math teacher.
He can't walk in the rain all night. He could stay at my house. My parents aren't home, and even if they were, they wouldn't care. No that's a stupid idea.
"You could stay at my house for the night." I said softly. It was a brave jester, I just don't want him walking in the rain all night.
"What?" He was just as shocked as I was when I thought of it.
"I don't know. My parents won't be home. They went in vacation and it's much better then walking in the rain all night."
"I-I don't know." I nodded understanding. I mean I certainly wouldn't be hopping with joy if someone I barley knew asked me to stay at there house, even for a night.
"Stop daydreaming and get over him. He surly did." I blinked looking around the room. Avery, my best friend said tossing me a magazine.
It said: "Luke Hemming's Over His Ex Already?!" With a picture of him and a really pretty girl.
"You can't believe everything you see in magazines." I said softly.
"It's on Instagram and twitter too..."
God just bring me back to the good and simple times where everything we did was cute and perfect and made my whole day better within seconds.
