Scar felt overjoyed, the warm glow of emotion spilling from him in turn raised everyone else spirits further. Nora swerved the topic onto Scar and Yang very quickly "so you two are back together now?" Yang nodded and placed her hand on Scars. "you two look so perfect together, seriously you both are missing the arm that the other one has! You're like a matching set!" She replied excitedly
Scar smirked "and you're talkative while Ren is usually quiet, you two work well too." He replied earning a smile from Ren "But I have to say Yang's are far more technologically advanced than mine. Mine were made by Ozpin himself, so they're definitely far less stream lined than hers."
"Show us Yang! Show it off!" Ruby squealed. Yang nodded and stood up and began flexing her new arm
"it's no replacement for the real thing but I'll make sure to make good use of it, and it's just as strong too."
Nora slammed her arm down on the table in a challenge "wanna bet?"
The delightful banter suddenly changed to all out cheering as the two began testing each other's strength, cheering from all but two could be heard, Weiss and Scar were looking on shaking their heads. Nora grunted as she attempted to overpower Yang "it definitely feels like the original I'll give you that."
Weiss smirked "Ha! I'm sure Rob can vouch for that."
Scar's cheeks went crimson red with embarrassment "you had to go there didn't you... wait, an innuendo from Weiss? never thought I'd see the day. You really have changed, haven't you?" He said smiling at the once cold-hearted ice queen. Their conversation was interrupted however, by the sound of Nora being flung back, hitting the wall still holding onto Yang's arm
"did she... Win?" Jaune asked as Nora shrieked and threw Yang's arm away from here, causing Yang to laugh as she caught it
"oh, and as for your previous comment Weiss. Oh yeah, Scar knows. Benefit of cybernetics is this arm can't get tired." Yang said with a wink
"ok seriously! Can we please change the subject!" Scar said looking mortified as everyone laughed at how uncomfortable he felt.
"Gyah... we ate it all." Jaune said picking up the pot and bowls "I think I'm gonna be sick."
"Easy there, vomit boy, I believe in you." Yang replied
"oh, we're doing nickname throwbacks now. Wonderful." Jaune said as he walked off with the pot towards the kitchen, causing Weiss to giggle, which Nora instantly latched onto
"I mean the ice queen seems to like it." Ruby instantly burst into laughter at Nora's remark, yet a smile still remained on Weiss' face as she rolled her eyes
"I so did not miss you people." Scar decided to use this opportunity to silently leave the room, for some time to think, after all that had happened recently, he knew his emotions were far more sporadic than usual, first happy, then going straight to immeasurable sadness at the flick of the switch. He walked into the kitchen and stood beside Jaune
"Oh, hey Rob, you ok?" Jaune asked noticing Scar walking in
"Yeah. Just needed a breather. Have to say, seeing everyone so happy is refreshing to say the least." Scar replied sitting up on the kitchen side
"you can say that again... hey, mind if I ask what had you so wiped out earlier?" Scar knew someone would eventually ask, unfortunately he knew if he said what it was there was a high possibility it could not only panic Jaune but also himself, which in turn could very likely cause another burst of uncontrollable darkness again. Scar sighed deeply
"for now, all you need to know is I'm in control, and I think Ozpin knows how to help me."
"right, because that doesn't sound ominous or anything." Jaune said sarcastically
