Christie's POV

I woke up from the sunlight that was coming in my bedroom. I got dressed for the first day of my junior year at Mystic Falls high school with my twin, Elena.

I walked downstairs, hearing my Aunt Jenna running around the kitchen.

"Toast? I can make toast!" Jenna offered, as I entered the kitchen.

"It's all about the coffee, Aunt Jenna," Elena said.

"Your first day of school and I'm totally unprepared. Lunch money?" She asked

"We're good," I replied.

"Anything else? A number two pencil? What else am I missing?" She teased.

"Don't you have a big presentation today?" Elena called out.

"I'm meeting my thesis advisor at...NOW! Crap!" Jenna cried, and fixed her hair.

"Then go, we'll be fine," Elena said.

Jenna at looked us as she grabbed her stuff and left.

Jeremy, our younger brother, came down, looking wasted as hell. He grabbed a cup of coffee, and started walking away.

Elena sighed. "You okay?"

"Don't start," Jeremy scoffed.

"We've got to see what's up with him," I said to my twin.

Elena and I were in Bonnie's car, on the way to school and Bonnie just started talking about her 'physic' powers to us again, as she always did for the whole summer.

"So Grams is telling me I'm psychic. Our ancestors were from Salem, witches and all that, I know, crazy, but she's going on and on about it, and I'm like, put this woman in a home already! But then I started thinking, I predicted Obama and I predicted Heath Ledger, and I still think Florida will break off and turn into little resort islands. . .Elena! Back in the car," she was cut off by Elena gazing out the window of the passenger seat.

"I'm sorry, Bonnie. You were telling us that-" Elena started.

"That I'm physic now," Bonnie finished.

"Okay, so predict something about us," I said.

Bonnie looked at Elena, then at me. "I see-," she started but was cut off.

A something black hit the car, causing all of us to gasp and the car to swerve.

"What was that?! Oh, my god! Elena, Christie, are you ok?" Bonnie questioned.

"It's ok. We're fine," I remarked.

"It was like a bird or something. It came out of nowhere," Bonnie apologized.

"Really, we can't be freaked out by cars for the rest of our lives," I said, calmly.

Bonnie paused and spoke again. "I predict this year is going to be kick ass. And I predict all the sad and dark times are over and you guys are going to be beyond happy."

We finally arrived to school and went by Elena's locker, and Bonnie started giving comments to people's fashion.

"Major lack of male real estate. Look at the shower curtain on Kelly Beech. She looks like a hot - can I still say 'tranny mess'?" Bonnie teased.

"No, that's over," I said.

"Ahh, find a man, coin a phrase. It's a busy year," Bonnie said.

We all chuckled. Elena turned around, seeing her ex, Matt Donovan. She waved to him but he stared at her for a second, and turned around.
