Christie's POV

I woke up, feeling different and good. I got dressed in regular jeans and a gray t-shirt with some comfty flats. I left my

"Do I look adult? As in respectfully parental?" Jenna asked, Elena and me before going downstairs.

"Depends on where you're going," I responded.

"Jeremy's parent-teacher conference. Hair up or down?" She answered. Jenna pulls her hair up.

"Sexy stewardess," Elena complimented.

Jenna then lets it down.

"Boozy housewife," I added.

"Up it is. You two are feisty today," she caught.

We both feel good, which is rare. So we've decided to go with it. Fly free, walk on the sunshine, and all that stuff," Elena explained. "Where is Jeremy?" I noticed, as I was helping Jenna with her dress.

"He left early. Something about getting to wood shop early to finish a birdhouse," she said. She thinks for a moment. "There is no wood shop, is there?"

"No," Elena responded.

"Nope," I added.

"Yeah," Jenna said.

We were in Tanner's class. Elena and Stefan kept looking at each other while Mr. Tanner was lecturering.

"Originally discovered nearly 5 centuries ago, it hasn't been over Mystic Falls in over 145 years. Now, the comet will be its brightest right after dusk during tomorrow's celebration. Are we bothering you, Mr. Salvatore? Ms. Gilbert?" Tanner asked, staring at them.

"Elena and Stefan then dropped their gazes and shook their head.

The bell rings.

I was with Bonnie and Caroline, heading to our next classes. Bonnie was explaining about her physic powers to Caroline.

"I'm confused. Are you psychic or clairvoyant?" Caroline asked.

"Technically, Grams says I'm a witch. My ancestors were these really cool Salem witch chicks or something. Grams tried to explain it all, but she was looped on the liquor so I kinda tuned out. Crazy family, yes. Witches? I don't think so," Bonnie explained.

"Yeah, well, feel free to conjure up the name and number of that guy from last night," Caroline said. What guy?

"I didn't see him, you did. Why didn't you just talk to him?" Bonnie called out.

"I don't know. I was drunk," Caroline said.

I chuckled and Caroline nudged me.

I had lunch with Elena and Matt. Matt was explaining to me and Elena how Vicki was doing. She was my best friend growing up, and we set goals together, but she ruined that by her addiction with drugs.

"Doctors are sure there's no infection, but she should be able to come home tomorrow," Matt explained.

"That's good news," Elena replied.

"Yeah," Matt said.

"Did you get in touch with your mom?" I asked, knowing that Matt would pause.

"Called and left a message. She's in Virginia Beach with her boyfriend, so...we'll see how long it takes her to come rushing home," he said.

"I know, and now there's talk of some missing campers," Elena said.

"Did she say what kind of animal it was that attacked her?" I asked.
