*Tessa's POV*

The police officer pulled into the police station and said "we're here." I shot him a glare and said "No shit, Sherlock." He turned off the car and came to open my door. "No need to be rude Miss. Jackson, I'm just doing my job." I got out of the car and mumbled "whatever." "Miss. Jackson, when we get inside the police station you will be reunited with your mother and detectives will take you into questioning. Does that sound good?" I ignored him in hopes that he would get the hint that I didnt want to talk. He didnt take the hint and he kept on talking. "By the way, my name is Officer Jones, but you can call me David." Will this man ever shut up? I obviously don't care. The only thing I care about is Ellie. She's being wrongly accused of kidnapping. I hope that she's ok. Officer Jones led me into a lobby area and told me to sit down. Then he told me that another officer would come to wait with me for my "mom". I sat down in one of the chairs and twiddled my thumbs. About five minutes later, a petite woman came over to introduce herself. She had her brown hair and blue eyes. She kneeled down in front of me and began to speak. "Hi sweetie. My name is Officer Turner, but you can call me Megan. I'm going to reunite you and your mommy! Are you excited?! Your mommy probably mis-" I cut her off. "I don't need you to talk to me like I'm a toddler. I know exactly why I'm here so can we just get on with it? Who do I have to meet next? A detective? Another police officer?"

Megan stood up and smiled. "Alrighty then. You will need to speak to a detective because your mother is pressing charges against Miss.Goulding. After questioning, your mother will fill out some paperwork and you'll be free to go. Does that sound alright?" "No! That doesn't sound alright. Why is Ellie having charges pressed against her? She didn't do anything wrong. All she did was take care of me. She didn't kidnap me, I ran away. I went to Ellie." I was livid. Megan sat in the chair next to me and said "I'm sorry Tessa, but I'm just doing my job." I completely lost it after that. "Just doing your job?! You're the second person to say that to me today. None of you are doing your job. Doing your job would be finding Ellie's kidnapped daughter, doing your job would be arresting Miss.Jackson for aggravated assault, doing your job would be arresting the man who raped me. So don't you dare sit there and tell me you're just doing your job. You're not. None of you are." I didn't realize how much of a scene I was causing until a group of officers ran toward me and handcuffed me. They told me that I needed to calm down and that I would be released when I was calm again.

*Ellie's POV*
When we arrived at the police station the officer opened the car door and lead me into the station. When I got inside he handed me over to another officer. "Could someone please explain what's going on?" I asked. The officer ignored me and walked me over to a holding cell. He locked me in there and told me that a detective would come and question me in a little while. He walked off and I was left there. I sat on the cot that was in there and cried. I couldn't hold it in anymore. As much as I wanted to put on a brave face for Tessa, I couldn't because I was scared as well. Usually when you get taken to jail you can make one phone call. I cried even harder knowing that I had no one. I haven't talked to Hannah, Lauren, or Jamie since I told them I needed a break from my career. They used to call me and I could never bring myself to respond until one day they just stopped calling altogether. When I told my mom about me going to the US to look for Tessa, she tried to stop me. I remember her saying "Ellie, you're not going to find her. You need to focus on your career. You worked so hard to get here and you can't just throw it all away. Besides, do you really want to raise your kid the way you were raised? She won't have a father. Just forget her El. I'm sure whoever kidnapped her will take good care of her. Just let go El. She's not coming back." I remember being livid. I haven't had contact with my mom since. Something about the way she didn't want me to come look for my daughter was suspicious.

*Tessa's POV*
A man with dark brown hair and green eyes walked toward me. "Can you let me out of here ? I'm calm now." I said. He looked a little hesitant at first, but he motioned for the officer that handcuffed me to come and take off the handcuffs. "Ok Miss. Jackson. My name is Detective Johnson. I'm going to ask you a few questions about Miss. Goulding. I need you to be as honest as possible. You don't have to answer all of the questions, but I need you to answer as many as possible. Please follow me." I got up and followed him. He took me to what seemed to be his office. "We've already questioned your mother, so now we just need to hear from you. When was the first time that you met Miss. Goulding?" "A few weeks ago." I responded. He jotted down what I said into his notepad. "How did you guys meet?" he asked. "Miss. Jackson kicked me out of the house and I went to a local park. I fell out of a tree and woke up in the hospital with Ellie. She brought me there." "How did you fall out of the tree?" He looked at me rather curiously. "What does that have to do with anything?" I asked. I really wasn't in the mood to answer any questions. Especially not irrelevant ones. "You're right. I'm sorry. Tessa, your mom claims that while you were in the ER, Ellie violently attacked her. Can you verify this? " My blood began to boil. "That's bull. Miss. Jackson got drunk and attacked Ellie and I." He write some more stuff in his notepad. "Tessa, why do you refer to your mother as Miss. Jackson rather than calling her mom?" I breathed deeply before answering. "She's not my mom." He wrote that down and shot me a confused look. "Why would you say such a thing?" "It's true. Ellie is my real mom. She told me that when I was a baby, I was kidnapped. We've only just been reunited a few days ago. If you do a DNA test I guarantee you my DNA will not match up with Miss. Jackson's. It will match up with Ellie's." Detective Johnson sat there for a moment before replying. "Tessa, you really don't have to lie to cover up for Ellie." I banged my fist on the desk in front of me and said "I'm not lying! Why would I make something like this up? Who lies about something like this?" He looked startled. "You do have a point there." He wrote some more stuff down before pulling a walkie talkie out if his pocket. "This is detective Johnson speaking. I need Miss. Jackson to be taken into questioning again for a lie detector test and I need Miss. Goulding brought to my office. Also, can someone send Officer Turner into my office as well? I need Tessa escorted to the waiting room again. Thank you." Within a few minutes Ellie appeared at the door with an officer. I jumped out of the chair and hugged her. She couldn't hug back, but if she could she would. Her eyes were puffy. "Ellie, have you been crying?" She nodded her head yes and I embraced her again. Megan appeared at the door and I had to go. "Don't worry Ellie. Everything will be fine. I promise. I love you." I hugged her one last time before walking out of the office toward Megan. Just before the door closed I heard Ellie shout "I love you too Tessa."
