Rebecca and Sindy. Both of them were university students. The Doctor have chosen the way to settle for a professorship in the same university a couple of months ago. He was exhausted and sad after the things in Manhattan. Losing Rory and Amy was hard for him. But it was 5 years ago. He thought he should move on. His Physics lectures was interesting, though unpassionate. He met Rebecca and Sindy there. They were smart. The Doctor liked them and decided to introduce them to a little bit of Time itself.
'I have never seen you here before' he told them. 'Are you new here?'
'Well, for me, yes. Sindy will graduate next year in Biology.' answered Rebecca.
'And you are a Physics-kind of person, aren't you?'
'Yes, Sir.'
'Interested in physics of Time?'
'Not my favourite, but interesting.'
'Then come along,' said the Doctor. 'I have something to show you.'
He lead them to his office and pulled away a courtain. A '50s police phone box has been uncovered. The Doctor stared at it. The girls didn't know what they should see.
'It's just an old box' diagnosed Sindy. 'Not that impressive.'
'I've...' The Doctor stopped for a moment, there was sorrow in his voice. 'I've used her a long time ago.'
'Her?' asked Sindy. 'But it's just an old box.'
'Let me introduce you to the TARDIS. Acronym, it stands for Time and Relative Dimensions in Space.'
'Sooo... It's kinda like a time machine, isn't it?' told Rebecca.
'It's not like a time machine, it's A time machine.'
'But it's just an old box.' Sindy repeated herself.
'Then step inside and see yourself.'
And with that sentence, he opened the door. The two pupils stepped inside.
'Wow!' They said it simultaneously.
'This is physically impossible,' Rebecca was amazed. 'though beautiful. It's bigger on the inside.'
Kiara just stood there in shock.
'But... it's just an old box.' was the only thing she could say.
'So, I offer you a journey. You can decline the opportunity, because it won't be safe.
But, in that case you accept it, I will have a question.'
'Of course we agree.' answered Sindy immediately.
'OK. Then, all of time and space, everything that ever happened or ever will, where do you want to travel?'
'Well...I always wanted to travel to Budapest, but I never had enough time. And the year... I guess 2500.' Rebecca gave the instructions.
'Alright then... Geronimo!' yelled the Time Lord while the TARDIS dematerialized.
After a few moments the sounds of the blue box silenced and then the Doctor informed his companions.
'There we are: the capital of Hungary 487 years later.'
They stepped outside the TARDIS. They were at the Heroes' Square.
'I have seen this one at photos. But I guess, it was 487 years younger then. And it was much crowded. Now it's literally empty.'
'Oh, the statues that were built for the millenial of the country. What a surprise!' Sindy was sarcastic.
