first night home

Jessie's pov

I grabbed the carseat from the basement and went to me and zach's room. I got Jasmine out of her crib and put her in the carseat. I put my jacket on and grabbed my phone and keys. I wrote a note for Zach saying I went to Elli's. I picked up the carseat and went downstairs. I went outside and buckled the carseat in the back of the car. I got in the driver seat and turned on the car. I backed out of the driveway before driving to Elli's.

When I arrived at Elli's apartment I got out and went to the back seat. I got the carseat out and locked the doors. I went inside and went to the front desk. "Hey Alicia can u tell Elli I'm here plz?" I asked. "Yes of course." She called Elli's apartment. "She'll be down in a sec. Oh is that the new baby?" She asked. "Yep this is Jasmine Marie Paul Herron." I said putting the carseat on the desk. Alicia swooned over her. Elli came down and we said goodbye to Alicia and went to the elevator. When we got to Elli's apartment we went in and I put the carseat on the table. I got Jasmine out and Elli immediately took her from me. Elli looked so happy. "Can I stay here?" I asked making Elli look up at me. "Why?" She asked, "is everything ok with Zach?" She asked. "I'm not sure he hasn't been home a lot and it was Jack who took me home but Zach was only there to take the Instagram picture." I said on the verge of crying. Elli put the carseat on the ground and put Jasmine in it before pulling me into a hug. I started sobbing and Elli sat me on the couch. "Give me ur phone." She said. I handed her my phone and she went to the bathroom.

Elli's pov

I went to the bathroom and called Zach on her phone.

Daddy Zach💦- hey babe

Me- don't u dare even try to call her babe u idiotic asshole

Daddy Zach💦- Elli? what'd I do?

Me- don't even play with me. Who's the bitch ur seeing?

Daddy Zach💦- nobody

Me- Zach he obviously seeing someone if ur not even there to take ur girlfriend home from the hospital after she just had ur baby.

Daddy Zach💦- I'm not seeing anybody and how did u get Jessie's phone?

Me- she sitting on my couch sobbing, in my apartment, saying that she wants to stay here instead of with u

Daddy Zach💦- I don't know why but I'm not gonna listen to you say I'm an awful person

Then he hung up. He's so up to something. I walk back out and give Jessie her phone back. She looks up at me and my heart drops. Her makeup is smeared and wiped off. I can see bruises on her cheek. "What happened Jessie?" I asked kneeling down in front of her. "Nothing." She said putting her hair in front of her face. "Jessie Marie Paul tell me what happened this instant." I said. "It was Jake. He came to the house to see Jasmine and I said no because of what happened before. I don't want to lose this baby like I did the last one." She said sobbing. Oh god. Gracie. The thought ran through my head about what happened.

Flashback 2 years ago

Jessies pov

My daughter Gracie was sitting on the couch in Ohio with me. Me and Elli were gonna go out since Elli was going back to la the next day. Mom and dad were on a business trip and Jake was visiting. Jake was gonna babysit Gracie for me while we go out. After getting ready me and Elli left Jake with Gracie.

It was about 10 o clock and we just got home. When we got inside me and Elli both screamed. "GRACIE!" I screamed running over to the 2 year old surrounded by red solo cups laying on the ground. "Elli call 911! JAKE GET UP!" I yelled making the boy jump off the couch from his slumber. "What happened?" I asked looking at Gracie and checking her pulse. "She doesn't have a pulse. JAKE WHAT HAPPENED?" I yelled at the end. "I had some friends over and she was sitting on the counter. I fell asleep and I don't know what happened after." I heard the ambulance and just called it. She's not gonna live. And she didn't. She broke her neck and hit her head really hard.

Jessie pov

I left Jasmine with Elli and went to get some clothes. When I got to the house I went inside and everyone looked at me. "What?" I asked. They all looked disappointed. "Where's Zach!?" I asked getting mad and scared at the second. They all pointed upstairs and I started walking. I opened the door to our room and saw him and a girl fucking. "Zachary Dean Herron u promised to luv me and now ur with this slut." I said slamming the door and running down the stairs. Jack came in front of me and I melted into his grip. He walked me to my car and we both got in. He drove cuz I was sobbing. I pulled my knees up to my chest and buried my face in them.

Zach's pov

I can't believe she caught me with my side chick. I quickly put my clothes back on and go downstairs. Daniel comes over and slaps me across the face. "U were supposed to be the one who loved her for her." He said through gritted teeth while pushing me against the wall. "U fucked up. I can't believe she even thought u were loyal. U do this every time." He said. He let me go before all of the guys looked at me disappointed before leaving me. I slid down the wall and started crying. She cane down from upstairs and left. I got up and started running. Knowing where she would be u ran to Elli's apartment complex.

Jessie pov

We went inside Elli's apartment and I went to Elli's bedroom. I flopped onto her bed and started sobbing. I heard the door open and shortly after I felt arms around my body. Not knowing the owner of the arms I looked up. It was Daniel. I snuggled closer feeling all the warmth of his body. "I'm so sry Jessie. I should've told u. He does this every time he gets into a relationship." Daniel said. "I thought he loved me, I thought he was gonna be different. But I guess I was wrong." Daniel pulled me up to face him. "Ur amazing Jessie. If Zach can't see that then he's not the right person." Daniel said. I looked deep into Daniels eyes. I felt us both lean closer and our lips connect. After a second I pull away. "I'm sry I don't like u that way. I only think of u as a friend." Daniel said. "I feel the same way." I said. I know someone who I do like and always have. I thought. Me and Daniel went out to the living room and I told Jack to come with me. He followed and we went to the bedroom. He closed the door and immediately kissed me. But wait, I don't feel anything. I pull away for a sec. "Do u feel anything?" Jack asked. I shook my head. "Can u just cuddle me plz?" I asked and Jack nodded. "1 sec." He said before running out to the living room. I layed down on the bed. Jack came back with Jasmine in his arms. "Aww my cuddle bug." I said as Jack gave her to me and wrapped his arms around us. After a couple of minutes I give Jasmine to Jack and fall asleep. So much for the first day home.
