There was a deep voice that boomed through the room.

"Ignis!
Purify this one. He will be reborn in our image."

I looked around trying to find where the voice had come from. But I found nothing, no figure, no image, nothing. The room was poorly lit. For the number of neon lights that ran the walls of the large room I was in, it was nearly impossible to make out anything. Red, pink, blue, green, orange, purple, yellow, white... lights of every color lit the room. But I could see nothing.

Then there was a soft clicking and I noticed that the room was not completely empty. Slowly an exo began to stand from where it had been kneeling in the shadows of the center of the room. The figures motions we're deliberate and rough. Almost as if he had been kneeling there for decades on end. I stared at the machine and it slowly began to approach me. Slowly blue lines began to run along his body and a blinding white light poured from his eyes. The room began to match him, as everything changed to blue. Held in front of him, as if he were at attention, was a large war hammer. It too had the same blinding white light that poured from the machine.

I felt something brush my right shoulder, I turned and saw Nimkoa. She was smiling. Nearly at the same time, there was another touch on my opposite shoulder. I looked, and to my surprise, Nimkoa was there as well. An exact clone.

I was going to speak out, but then there was a metal clang against my chest was enough to silence me as I returned my attention to the hammer that was now being pressed against my chest. That's when I noticed that the Nimkoa twins were hovering. They both placed a hand on my shoulders and one hand on the shoulders of who I could only assume was Ignis.

I watched in shock as Ignis began to dissolve into his hammer. His body seemed to take itself apart, folding inward on itself along every line of his body, until poured into the hammer, which was somehow holding itself in the air.

This whole ordeal was surprisingly quiet.

As Ignis began to disappear, all of the lights in the room began to shift into the most soothing shade of pink I had ever known. Once every last piece of Ignis was gone the hammer fell to the ground with a loud clanging noise that reverberated through the chamber several times before it fully stopped.

Nimoka's voice broke the silence. "Aero, you are to be reborn into something closer to perfection. The Archon Prime will bestow upon you, a new life."

There was a soft note of a gong being struck and my vision shook like I was looking into a pool of water. Slowly the world around me began to darken, but not from my vision failing but from a large spider like figure that was crawling down from the ceiling. It had been perched there the entire time.

Then a deep ruby red began to penetrate my mind, I couldn't place where it was coming from, but it flowed through me, it changed me. I saw things that the essence wanted me to see.

And everything felt so...

Peaceful.
So perfect.

And that was the last thing I could remember...
Aero was gone.
The suffering left with him.
All that was left was peace.
