Lauren and Ethan walked hand in hand, through the school corridors, towards their next classes. They both interacted with their friends along the way but still kept their fingers intertwined with one another. They slowly reached Lauren's next class ,so she pulled her hand out of his grip and started towards her Literacy - creative writing. Ethan looked at her with loving eyes, before he turned and went off towards Science, Lauren still in his heart and mind. In the School, the pair of lovers were considered "Perfect For Each Other", and, "Meant To Be". Students would look at them and admire the bond of their relationship. Nothing could over throw the power of love. Or so they all thought...

Lately she had been feeling distant from Ethan, her heart wasn't full anymore. She didn't know how she felt, so she avoided the feeling and Ethan as much as she could. Ethan on the other hand was totally head over heels in love with Lauren. As much as she seemed different and distant, Ethan pushed the doubt aside and just chose to believe the opposite. A classic, fairy tale end, to a beautiful love....

Later that night, Lauren lay on her bed in the middle of texting her best friend, Sam.
As Lauren was texting, she started wondering whether or not she should talk to her best friend about the doubts she had about Ethan. The problem wasn't Ethan, she reminded herself. But she felt that it just wasn't meant to be. That Ethan maybe just wasn't the one. She, as well as Ethan, had been trying to put it out of her mind, just because she knew Ethan heart was still there, and she didn't want to hurt him for her own seemingly selfish reasons.

A call from Sam came through on her Mac Book, and she answered. The girls talked for a while about regular girly things. Eventually, Lauren decided to tell her friend and ask for Sam's helpful advice.

"Sam," she blurted out, unable to hold it inside her any longer. "I don't feel like it's working out with Ethan. He still is totally in the relationship but I don't feel like it's going the right way in my side. My heart doesn't belong anymore..." She finished, venting all of her fears and doubts about her current situation.
It took Sam a few seconds to process all of this sudden news in her head, but answered as quickly saying....
"Lauren, I would feel bad for Ethan in this whole fiasco, but if you really aren't in it, then you can't stay. Every single person is independently in charge of thee own happiness and if you are not happy then imagine what life is going to be like from them on," Sam lectured Lauren, sympathetically. "Wow, it feels weird talking seriously, haha," she finished on a high note.
"Thanks, Sam. I really needed that pep talk," Lauren Said.
"All good, girl," She replied cheerfully, but then she quietened down for a moment. "Lauren, you need to make a decision about whether to leave it for now or whether you want to end it right here. He will be really hurt either way," Sam burst out the problem. "It's a matter of the heart, and another persons happiness is the weight on your shoulders now," She finished.

Lauren took all of her friends advice, straight to heart and mind, but decided to talk to Sam in person before making any rash decisions, that could affect anything else in her life. She opened a new tab on her Mac Book, and watched a few episodes of her new favourite series. But she couldn't get any of it off of her mind. So she put all of her items away and slept on it...
