2 weeks of Den being MIA.
Den took a heavy sigh as soon as she got off her car and looked at the house in front of her. Sinalubong siya ng isang matandang lalaki who's the caretaker of the house.
She went straight sa room at humiga, she turned off her phone. She sighed again as she look at the ceiling.
"Now what, Den?" she asked herself.
She closed her eyes.
Alyssa.
"The fuck, Den!" she shouted at herself, "kaya nga nandito ka di ba, kasi gusto mong lumayo, why the heck are you still thinking of her? Why don't you just stop being stupid?" she asked herself.
At this point, gusto na lang ni Den tumigil. She's tired. Plus the guilt is not helping, at all.
She covered her eyes with her arm, sobrang frustrations na yung nararamdaman niya.
Back to 2008, Ly's just someone she knew, her almost teammate, kung hindi lang siya natanggal sa line up for NCR team para sa Palaro. Den didn't know she will see again Ly sa Ateneo, the last time they talked, Ly was planning to continue playing for UST sa college.
But yes, fate happened. Naging teammates sila sa Ateneo. Ly—for Den—was that girl na thoughtful and sobrang maalaga sa friends. She experienced it firsthand since silang tatlo nila Ella yung naging magkaka-room. It wasn't hard to like the girl.
Den grew fond of Alyssa after some time, which Ly to Den, too. Ly, Den and Ella become inseparable. Character diversity yet they blended.
Since Ly needed to sit down for 1 year eligibility shit, they wasn't able to share their rookie years, but Ly has always been so positive and supportive.
Over time, Ly became Den's cheerleader.
Came Season 74, Ly's rookie year, si Den ang pinaka-excited sa lahat. Finally, in one court, she and her bestfriend.
Who would've known that Ateneo will produce one of the biggest tandems in court, the Spiker-Libero tandem, AlyDen.
Den sighed, "bullshit, kahit ata nasan akong parte ng mundo, dala pa rin kita, Alyssa Valdez," Den said, natawa pa siya sa sarili niya, "I really don't know what to do," Den said to herself.
Den took her time, she read books, she wandered off sa province na pinuntahan niya, she went to beach, lahat na ginawa niya, yet, ang bagsak pa rin bago siya matulog eh si Alyssa.
Den remembered when she asked Ly, after nung meeting nila for their show Crosscourt, her question was "If someone loves you with all of his heart, mabait, ideal husband, would you let him go?"
Ly asked her, "mahal mo? With no doubts? Siya na ba yung nakikita mo na kasama mo sa future? Yung gusto mong bwisitin sa buong buhay mo?" Ly's saying her thoughts that time yet Den was lost in the sight of Alyssa, kasi when Ly asked her kung mahal niya ba, Den answered mentally, "yes, mahal ko. Mahal kita. And I only see myself with you in the future."
Her question was about LA yet all of it still ended to Alyssa.
Alyssa. Alyssa. Alyssa. It has always been Alyssa for Den.
