They said it would all be gone.

Why would anyone believe them.

They had no proof.

February 16th 2020.

It would end.

And it did.

All the lights were off, the darkness was swallowing me, this time yesterday I was in my Geography lesson oblivious  to the danger I was in. All the electricity had gone. The air felt humid, the thunder rumbled, there was a storm on its  way.  My ear were ringing, my head was banging. Silence.  I saw it before I heard it. It looked like a mushroom shaped cloud had emerged from the ground fire raging from inside it, BANG. My ears, ringing, ringing, ringing. For once I felt alone. Alone in the big world.

The ground shuddered and a crack grew from the pavement causing the car alarms to go off in sync. It wouldn't stop, the earthquake went on for miles and miles separating us from the other town. I looked around and saw the local church's roof fold in on itself and the screams from within echoed through the satin glass windows.

I could smell smoke , so I looked over to the crack in the road and lava was bubbling underneath the pavement. It was like there was a dragon under the road because all of a sudden a fireball merged from the road and was inches from my face.
