CHAPTER TWO:
IT TAKES TWO.

──────── ⋆ ❍ ⋆ ────────

The next day, Ivory didn't want to go to school. She had nothing to look forward to. She had no friends and someone who was out to get her knew her secret. She definitely wasn't feeling the love she wanted to feel when she came back. But what could she expect?

I had no other choice.

She thought back to what Emily had said about telling the girls. She had been keeping this secret for so long, maybe what she needed was for it to be off her shoulders. What if she did tell them? Could everything between them be fixed? Would they understand her actions?

No.

Ivory quickly shook that idea out of her head. She couldn't tell the girls. She couldn't tell anyone. Everyone would look at her differently. If there was one thing Ivory couldn't stand, it would be having people pity her.

So with her decision made, she walked the halls of her school alone.

People talked about her. They whispered rumors about what had happened to her, and why she had suddenly come back to Rosewood. Of course no one knew the truth. No one besides Emily and well, whoever the hell A was. Could Emily have told?

No, Emily isn't like that.

But then again, sometimes things aren't as they seem. Rosewood has obviously changed. There was no doubt the people in it did too.

So there Ivory stormed through the halls, searching for Emily. She found her walking out of the girls bathroom, looking around as if she was searching for something that wasn't there. Ivory grabbed her by the arm roughly and dragged her towards one of the isolated corners in the hallway.

"Ivory what the hell are you doing?" Emily asked, pulling arm free from Ivory's grasp.

"Did you tell someone?"

"What are you talking about?"

"You know damn well what I'm talking about." Ivory said. "Did you tell someone?"

Emily shook her head. "No! I would never tell anyone. Why would you ever think that?"

"Someone knows." Ivory whispered.

"What do you mean someone knows?"

"Emily! What do you think I mean? Someone knows!" Ivory told, her voice raising slightly.

"Who knows?" Emily asked.

"I don't know! Yesterday, there was a package at my door. I took it inside. I opened it. There was a blanket and there was a message on a paper. They know about him!"

"W-What, I swear I didn't tell anyone."

"You're the only one that knows. Somehow this A person found out."
