Why me?

    I am sorry for the slow updating. I have finals coming up so I have been spending my time studying. Until finals ends, I will try to update every weekend. But as soon as finals ends, I will update every day. And when summer comes I will update more often like twice every day. And thank you if you are reading this.

I woke up in the same hospital bed as the one I felt asleep in. Only this time my friends were actually in the room. A tray of pancakes, bacon, toast, and oranges sat on my lap. I sat up in the bed and looked around.

       Paige noticed me first and as soon as she did she moved the tray and wrapped her arms around me. When she let go everyone else came up and group hugged me. When everyone let go I could see the news on the TV. The headline read "16 year old girl nearly drowned at 11:30 last night of the shore of South Carolina." The news anchor pulled up a picture of me and said, "16 year old Mia nearly drowned after being dragged under the water. When 16 year old Parker found her and dragged her to th..." Paige had turned of the TV.

        We all started eating our breakfast while talking and laughing. "Oh Mia." My oldest Neice everyone calls Dan ,she hates the nickname, walked in. I sat up a bit more as she walked over to me. She was my best friend. "Yes Danni?". 

       I could never bring myself to call her D like she wants everyone to call her but she loves me calling her Danni.
     
    "The doctor said you can go home today so Mom and I are gonna drive you home."

       Oh did I mention Danni is adopted. Avery ,her mom and my oldest sister, is only 24. She fostered her when she was 16 and when Danni was 8. She finally adopted her 2 years later when Danni was to go to Washington to another foster family.

      "Ok Danni I'll come down in a bit." She walked out the door and my friends followed her. I grabbed a bag Emily left and put the gifts they brought in there and walked down to Avery's car.

        I opened the passengers side door and Avery leaned over to give me a giant hug and kiss. "You had me scared to death Mia. You're all over the news." We started out to our home.

         Avery, Danni, Nicky, and I all lived toghether with Avery's husband. Nicky's husband was in the Navy Seals and is constantly over seas. Avery and Charlie ,Avery's husband, never minded letting Nicky and I live with them. Our parents left with the rest of our siblings last year. Nicky likes living here but she is also disappointed in her self and doesn't like that she cant live on her own. Her husband ,Ben, is going to come home here next year and Nicky and him are going to move. Until then Nicky lives here. I am the third oldest out of all my siblings so I stay here. Avery is actually pregnant and due in 7 months so they are trying to prepare the nursery and come up with names. I help them with the nursery.

       We arrive at the Blue and Peach house. As we walk in both Nicky and Charlie come running up and hug me. We walk inside right past the nursery and as we walk a bucket of paint somehow spills on me.

       I grab a towel we use and run to the bathroom, wiping the paint off of me and trying not to get it on the ground. Why me? I walk out of the bathroom and into my room which is connected to the bathroom. I lay on my bed ,still wet, and my legs arent there. I have a FIN!!
