Twirling her hair with her finger tips, she stared blankly at the television screen in front of her. Felicia let a drawn out sigh and lifted from her bed.
"Bore-RING," she belted out.
She has been in a mood, even worse now since her thirteenth birthday was just around the corner and she couldn't wait. There will be a huge feast, a beautifully decorated ballroom, and most importantly for her, she will be able to shift for the very first time. She fantasized about her relationship with her wolf as well as how beautiful her coat will be. Just thinking about it gives her a dazed goofy look. Needless to say, she was excited and at this moment she was becoming extremely impatient.
The sun was just setting, and to Felicia that was a great sign to try to sleep. If I sleep the next day will come faster, she thought to herself. She scrambled about to shut the TV off, switch to her pajamas, and promptly jumped in her bed to sleep.
She was surprisingly in deep slumber for a few hours until she heard a thud followed by a cry. She froze and listened for another sound. When she did, she shuddered from fear for this time she heard a screech that she knew came from her mother and her fathers shout sounded right after.
Cautiously, she sat up and moved over to her bedroom door. Just as slow and quietly, she opened her door and looked down the empty hallway that led to her parents room. From where she stood she can see their door was slightly ajar and light was shinning through. She glanced over to her nightstand clocked and saw that it was well into the night. She felt proud she was able to sleep for so long but that feeling quickly demolished as she heard once again a shriek from her mother. This time though it was followed by an unfamiliar rumbled voice. At the moment she made a choice and she silently tip-toed to the front of their door. With sweating palms and a frantic beating heart she looked through the crack and held her breath.
The room was trashed, from the upturned bed, shattered glass from the lamp, and blood splattered the walls and lined parts of the carpeted floor. Two males restrained her father as he kicked and tried to escape from their vise grip. He was the cause of the blood as Felicia witnessed the long streaks that almost covered her fathers bare chest healing before her eyes. He grimaced but his eyes had a look of determination as he stared at is mate. Eyes flashing his ice blu color of his wolf.
Why isn't he shifting? Felicia question was answered as made eye contact with her mother.
She laid on her side with her ankles and wrist tied behind her with silver chains. Felicia noticed she had welts and a rash where the chained touch, which meant the silver was also laced with wolfsbane, both can be very deadly for their kind. Her eyes were rimmed with red she she silently wept, she pleaded with her eyes towards her daughter.
Her parents both still wore the nightwear, leading Felicia to believe they were sleeping when they were ambushed.
The final person in the room was a woman. She was strolling about freely, playing with a rugged knife in her hand. She had a small frame and pretty features on first glance but when you look closer you see a crazed glint in her eye and an uncontrollable giggle sounded time to time. She turned to Felicias father, Nicolas, and made work of a X right where his heart is located.
She giggled, "This is where the finale blow will be! But not yet, I need some play time before I do"
"What do you want, Rogue?!" Nicolas demanded.
She clenched the knife tighter in her and lost her playful demeanor and replaced it with anger.
"I WANT-" Slash "MY-" Slash "PAYMENT."
