CHAPTER EIGHT

AUTHOR'S POV:

Arriving in England, the girls dragged their luggages and bags out of the arrival hall and looked around. The assistant had informed them that one of the in-charge of SM-England-Entertainment will fetch them.

They soon spot a pink board with the words. "보리BO RI. 재니JENNY. 렌스LENX. FROM KOREA." A blonde lady in casual wear waved the board up. They walked towards the lady and she smiled.

"Welcome to England." Her Korean was surprisingly fluent for an English and it was more comfortable to talk to her now.

In the car, she explained to the girls how transport in England works and where SM Entertainment-England is located at. She also said that the girls will be living in a grand condominium that was under the name of SM's. Apparently hardly are there any Korean trainees in England so they were given the best place to live at the highest floor of the condominium, that was also connected to their very own rooftop.

The English introduced herself as Lorraine but for the convenience of the Koreans, it was shortened to '랜 Rain'.

Rain brought them to a famous English restaurant to let them get a taste of heavenly food in England. Rain also brought them to stores and the girls bought tons of snacks and tidbits, plus cup noodles and soft drinks.

They finally headed to their condominium with Rain in the lead. Rain said that this was a private lift, they practically squealed when they saw the luxury which they are about to live in.

The lift rose up to the highest floor when Rain flashed the card on a white square, which is the sensor.

When the lift doors opened, they saw the shoe rack and neatly placed their shoes on the rack. They pulled their luggages with them and waited for Rain to insert the card to unlock the door.

They paused when they saw the size of the condo. On their left was a big kitchen that had a sliding door to keep it shut. On their right was an open space dining table with a yellow light shining onto the rectangular table. There were six dining chairs pushed into the table.

In front of them was the big living room. There was a long beige sofa facing the big LG Smart TV. Soon their eyes were fixed on the curtains that covered the sunlight.

Drawing the curtains, their jaws drop. A floor-to-ceiling glass window separate them from the great city view.

The girls ran to the walk way that was between the kitchen and the living room. There were two doors opened with the same room size and a queen size bed. One of the rooms screamed red while the other yelled black. Jenny immediately took the red room and Lenx the black room even when they've yet to check out the last room on the other side of the condo.

Jenny had a pink love seat next to the red bed.

Lenx had a dark blue study table and black chair at the corner of her room.

When the two girls settled their luggages, they followed Bo Ri to the last room, that was way bigger than the other two. The bed sheets and blanket were the shade of violet, with light purple pillows and lavender painted walls.

Bo Ri had a white study table with a black study lamp, and a dark purple working chair. A white bedside table and a small yellow night lamp with warm lighting.

She have her very own connected bathroom, both a shower and a bathtub too.

Rain reminded the girls of their very own rooftop, and the three scurried out of their rooms.

The door was next to Bo Ri's room which opened to a spiral stairway. They walked up the stairs and Rain pushed another door open, letting the girls venture again.

They had their very own indoor swimming pool, on their left. On their right was a big umbrella-like shade and a wooden table with fixed wooden benches under it. The space in front of them was empty.

Bo Ri stepped onto the wooden platform presumingly the floor and walked straight to the railings. She looked at the beautiful view of England and a smile grew on her face naturally.

"We'll head to the building this evening. I'll come and pick you up at around five. In the meantime, enjoy your living here. Don't worry, as you will got to the building to familiarize a bit and also to pick up your schedule." She smiled and placed the card on the wooden table before heading back downstairs and leaving the house...their house.

"LETS GO SWIMMING!" The two girls ran back downstairs while Bo Ri chuckled and stayed up longer.

Despite everything, she still can't get him off her head.

Maybe she should go for a swim too. To release her mind of all the thoughts and frustrations and enjoy the moment with the other girls.

With a last glance into the wide stretch of the city, she head back down the stairs.

---

While it was afternoon in England, Baekhyun was lying on his bed on the very dark night, unable to sleep. He wouldn't be human if he was able to. Bo Ri hadn't even get to tell him anything about her leaving, and just left. Not a single goodbye.

The friendly and warm aura between them was thinning, about to vanish into thin air. It felt so wrong. Just like how their CEO, Mr, Kim Young Min had asked him and Taeyeon to go out and 'date', just to distract the fans from Kris's leaving. He felt bad, he felt guilty. And most of all, he felt painful. Being forced to be used like this. To hurt the fans, his good friend, Bo Ri, and himself.

Chanyeol had dragged him to the toilet that night when he visited him in the 'Roommate' house. Of course Chanyeol would know about this. Chanyeol was his best buddy and hence, Chanyeol was worried for him. Baekhyun is risking himself and probably taint his name, with a relationship.

It was really serious and Chanyeol had turned off his mike before he started speaking. Chanyeol definitely knows of Baekhyun liking Bo Ri and even Bo Ri liking Baekhyun back. Though Baekhyun was clueless.

Baekhyun even started counting sheep to get himself to sleep. But to no avail.

He decided to read a book to pass his time instead, turning on the bedside lamp. He picks up the book by Stephen Chbosky, Perks of Being a Wallflower. He had no idea why he had such interest in such books until recently.

He flips to the page he had stop a few days ago, reading intently. He reads and reads. His eyes seem to be running a marathon. A never ending one too. But the 'finish line' he happened to stop on was such a coincidence.

"Things change. And friends leave. Life doesn't stop for anybody."

As he continued staring at the three short but miraculously meaningful sentences, his eyes closed and he falls into a dark black pit of a lonely dream.
