Camille's P.O.V

"I thank you for letting me stay at the mansion." Damon said.

"Oh, well, this shall be your new home. You might as well get used to it."

"I also might as well get used to this beautiful new wife of mine."

I blushed a little by the comment, but I just continued walking. "Your room is right down this hallway."

He and I were walking down a hall when he suddenly interlocked his fingers with mine. He held a watch clock in his other hand, and he completely took me by surprise. It took me a moment to recover and my heart skipped a beat, but I did. "Damon."

He smirked at me and as we walked, he started playing with my hair. "Camille." He whispered in my ear. A chill went up my spine, but it wasn't of fear, it was of pleasure. I turned to look at him in the bright, empty hallway and stared at him.

This man is so handsome, I realized. His charming black eyes and natural rose colored lips that any girl would die for. He wore a smirk, and I realized that he had very small dimples on his cheeks. His black hair that resembled the night sky covered his whole forehead, and that went on as long as to his chin. I realized that while we were walking, he had to flip it every few times, which made him all the more attractive. He looks so young.

He cupped my cheek with his hand and said," You're so very pretty, Miss Devereaux."

I knew that my face had turned a bright red as I answered timidly, "Thank you."

His smirk grew wider and he flipped his hair out of the way once more. He wasn't timid at all. He was actually probably just teasing me. "No need for curtsies, dear Camille. I'd really appreciate it if you just went along with the moment." Suddenly, he gently backed me up against the wall and said softly, "I know exactly what kind of girl you are. Fancy dresses, all shy. I just wish you would act care free around me."

My eyebrows merged and I quietly answered, "This is who I am."

His fingers slowly combined with mine, and both of my hands held his. He swiftly raised one of my arms and pressed the back of hand against the wall, above my head. "But you could be so much more." He whispered in my ear as he leaned over.

I was partly disgusted by the idea of him wanting to change me, but I was also mesmerized by his sweet mellow voice. Not only did it remind me of happiness, it also brought warmth to my heart. I think that was the beginning of my new love for Damon.

He suddenly released me and backed away. He adjusted his neck tie and straighten his ruffled clothes. "I'm sorry Camille, but I shall prepare for bed." I frowned but he gently said with a small smile, "I will see you tomorrow in the morning, though. We will eat breakfast and talk about...many new things to come." I slowly nodded, understanding that he had to get a good nights sleep to talk with me tomorrow.

He swiftly turned on his heel and started walking away. "Goodnight, Camille."

"Goodnight, Damon." I whispered to myself. He didn't turn around, nor realize I called out to him quietly. It was evening anyways. We both had things to prepare for tomorrow.

We were both going to sort out when we were going to get married. How long tomorrow will be.

Ella P.O.V

I sat in a big comfy chair at the end of the room, reading a good old book that I found in the old library none of us never even used ever since Father died. He used to read us bed time stories with those books, and today was the first day I had gone in there after my father's death. I didn't even know what the book was about. I just wanted to smell the old pages as I flipped through, the smell that my father used to have.

Suddenly, I thought of Damon. Camille never told me what he was, but I didn't need her to tell me. The moment I saw him, I knew he was a demon. And a demon with no morals. You could see it in his eyes he was reckless and troublesome, but I doubted anyone else saw. Damon had the eyes of a young teenager, lustful and mischievous. It was one of the things I hated about demons. They were all so sneaky and cocky.

As I thought of Damon, the door of my room suddenly opened and Alexander came in with a tray that had a tea set completely laid out with a few desserts. "Alexander!" I exclaimed.

He looked back and then shut the door quietly. He sent me a stern look that quickly hushed me. He rushed over to me and hurriedly set the tray down on the table. "Ella, please don't scream like that. You might alarm someone, and they might come to see what all the ruckus is about."

"Oh, please." I muttered. "I could scream all I want and no one would listen. No one here pays attention to me." I looked down and frowned. They really wouldn't. I decided not to be so gloomy and looked up. "After all, you are my butler. It's only natural if you bring me my tea to my room."

I pushed past him and looked down at the tray on the small coffee table. "You only brought sweets."

"That's all I ever bring, Ella."

I turned to face him again and answered, "I know. That's why I always tell you to get something spicy or less sweet, but you never listen."

He throws his hands up in the air and rolls his eyes. "Sorry, princess." He lets himself fall onto the seat I was seated at before and sighs loudly, probably frustrated at the day. "Don't you think it will be at least a little suspicious that I spend a long time in here with you, and not in any of your sisters rooms?"

"My sisters won't notice anything. Besides, if they do become suspicious, I will just tell them you are my secret lover." I suddenly saw a small piece of chocolate cake and quickly took it before Alexander could. I knew he would eat anything with chocolate. Pig.

"Yes, and then we shall run away together and live a whole new life."

I scoffed and turned to look at Alexander with my face covered of chocolate. "Yes! Exactly!" We stared at each other, then burst into laughter.

He stood up and walked over to me, then took the handkerchief off the table. "Here, take this before someone walks inside and see's how much of a mess you are." I wiped my mouth with it and continued on laughing.

"You are such a pain, aren't you, Ella?"

"It's my job to be a pain, Alexander. We are, after all, the best of friends."

He rolled his eyes and replied,"Of course we are."
