"So how are we today Ms. Eaton?" the man with the bored look on his face asked. Ms. Eaton, the women with the knotted, brown hair dangling over her face, just sat in in her chair, not saying a word. The gloomy psychiatrist sighed with annoyance and scribbled down some notes. "You know Ms. Eaton, you'll never get better if you continue on with this silent treatment," the man stated. Again Ms. Eaton remained silent for about two minutes till the headshrinker finally gave up. "Your dismissed Rivka". Rivka Eaton's head shot up at the sound of her first name being said.
"Go on," the elder man said, "Your free to leave. The nurse will escort you back to your room. I hope to see you next Wednesday.". The nurse walked over and gently grabbed Rivka's arm to lightly urge her to stand. "Come on, Sweetie," the nurse kindly persuaded while the disturbed women stepped to her feet and began slowly walking with the nurse. They traveled down the long white hallway that led to other hallways and turns, allowing them to pass by other patients.
Some seemed as if the life had been drained from their eyes, never to act among their own free will ever again. While some seemed as if there was still something there but it wasn't exactly right. One man whispered to himself insisting whoever he believed he was speaking to was absolutely wrong; Not quite sure what he believed the nonexistent person was wrong about, but the person was wrong. Another person quietly wailed to themselves as tears streamed down their face while another spoke to a teddy bear as if they had been best of friends for years.
After the long, white trip of hallway hell, the nurse and Ms. Eaton finally arrived at their destination. "Okay, Sweetie, right this way," the nurse chimed sweetly as she unlocked and opened the room door for the disturbed brunette who still walked with her hair covering her face. Rivka took a few steps then stopped in the doorway to look at the women, finally revealing her abnormally bright, bluish-green eyes full of malice and hatred.
Her lips formed an ill-intentioned grin, "She won't make it.". The nurse blinked perplexedly and replied, "I'm sorry?". Eaton's grin turned into a deranged toothy smile, "She won't make it.". Rivka began slowly walking into her room, and stopped before the back wall, facing it. Disturbed, the nurse closed the door and ensured it was absolutely locked. She afterwards preceded down the hallway to her other duties.
Later on, at around 12:00 at midnight, there was an awful screaming in Room 147. "M-MY HANDS! MY HANDS! LOOK AT MY HANDS! OH, WHAT HAVE I DONE TO MY HANDS! THEY HURT! THEY HURT!" 20 year old, Macey Adams howled as she gazed upon her bleeding fingertips. During one of her blackouts she had bitten every one of her fingernails and continued to peel the skin off of her hands with her own teeth. Macey Adams wasn't quite sure why she did this, but she did know that she was bleeding heavily from her meat hooks and that she was going to get into a lot of trouble for doing this to herself.
Terrified, the girl began banging on the door of her small, dark room, staining it with her life force. But after about two minutes, the pitiable girl realized no one was coming, causing her to slide down to her knees in defeat, leaving two large, red handprint lines going down the doorway. Macey, during her fit of sobbing, wondered why no one was coming, because surely someone would have heard her. Her screams would have echoed throughout the halls, even through her thick room door. It was very odd indeed for someone not to come check on her.
About three hours earlier, around nine, Nurse Charlotte Miller , the nurse from earlier, was attending to something, when her friend who was also a nurse stated, "I just got a call to go check on the Eaton patient.". Charlotte's pen dropped at the sound of that, "Are you sure you wouldn't want me to do that? It'd be no problem, really, Kate.". A chill went up Miller's spine as she thought of earlier's encounter with Eaton. Kate just shook her head, "Oh no of course not. I'm the one who got called to do it, so I should go. You need to give yourself a break anyway, I swear you never give yourself a rest, Charlie.". Charlotte stood there, in fear for her friend, as she walked down the hallway with a loud clacking of her heels.
As Katherine Hargrove arrived in front of Rivka Eaton's door, she unlocked the room and held her hands up to her face to let out a loud screech. Upon the walls laid splattered blood, everywhere; In the very center of the back wall was a strange symbol painted in Rivka's gore. Rivka lay on the floor, sprawled out, back sitting against the wall beneath the ominous symbol, with a strange smile on her face, making her seem as if she was happy to die. "Oh my God! How could somebody do something so awful?" Kate asked as she took a couple steps back to make a dash for help.
After whoever needed to be alerted was alerted, the building was evacuated and emergency response called. Everyone was evacuated, all accept Macey Adams and a couple of other unfortunate souls who were put in the more "special" rooms because they didn't behave as well as other patients. Although other patients didn't behave well anyways, Macey Adams and others suffered worse cases. But these worse cases were of course forgotten in the building while everyone else was evacuated to safety, leading to the worse cases demise.
Later on after emergency response had arrived and the worses cases were found dead, Charlotte Miller discovered that her mother had passed away from a heart attack in her own home...
